The vacation home is quietly located, without through traffic, directly on the edge of the forest, with a nice hiking trail. In the area, there are cycling and excursions to sights (e.g. Gold Museum, Rauenstein Castle Ruins, and much more). For children there are great highlights here: In the vacation home itself a huge playroom, in Sonneberg the Exotarium, toy museum, toboggan runs, ski slopes and much more... Also suitable for ski fans! There are great slopes in the area.

A charming, authentic house in the GDR style. Very centrally located right on the beautiful Weimarhallenpark and only 3 minutes walk from the city center. It is surrounded by the imposing new Bauhaus museum, the historic Gauforum and a quiet family residential area. The house itself has been bequeathed to us by our GDR-affine grandmother and, despite some modernizations, authentically kept right in this style. Optional car parking space (€8/day) on enclosed grounds.

There are beautiful hiking and biking trails in the area to explore nature. At the front door, we have set up an exchange shelf where everyone can take a souvenir for free. Many shops, a gas station, a thermal bath, bakery and café are about 6 km away, in Bad Rodach.

It is the starting point for hiking and cycling tours or for exploring the old town.
