The barn - A Farm Cottage

The cottage in a 2 acre horse farm gives a lovely view of the stables with a huge outdoor space of a beautiful lawn surrounded by palm, ashoka & champa trees making it a perfect sitting environment. The nature of the cottage makes it a romantic suite for a couple or a cozy farm living space for a family of 2. Horseback riding, visiting the stables, therapeutic walks with horses, dinner by the stables, bonfires & barbecues, often visited by peacocks: the barn is a unique experience.

The Wooden Cottage at Kookal Eco Farms

Kookal is a beautiful and quaint drive away from Kodaikanal, the Princess of Hills, 15 kms after Poomparai. If you are able to overcome the temptation of stopping by at the charming spots that dot the route, you can cover this distance of 32 km in a little over an hour from Kodaikanal. It is a perfect destination for those on the lookout for offbeat places to stay. Our cottage is located in a 5 acre property, facing the Shola forests and has an excellent view of the Kookal lake.

This has been our family second home for over two decades and one we've watched come alive from nothing. Set in a rustic 5 acre farm with a rivulet that runs by the property (unfortunately only in the monsoon), Rashmi Farms is a great place to disconnect from the city (though we have wifi if you must work). You can enjoy walks around the farm and nearby villages, a dip in the pool, or just put up your feet with a book. All this just 2.5 hours drive from Mumbai.
