Vacation rentals in Irving

This is our second stay at Grant's place and it was everything we were hoping for. The cabin itself is delightful, but the outdoor areas are amazing! Grant and his wife could not be better hosts. I highly recommend this property!

This was our second time staying and just as wonderful as the first! We loved feeding the sheep and relaxing in the quiet location.

The space was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and peaceful. The host was incredibly responsive and made the check-in a breeze. I especially appreciated the little touches, like fresh towels, soft sheets, and he provided a binder of local recommendations. The location was perfect—quiet, safe, and close to everything I needed. My son enjoyed fishing off the deck. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming home away from home. We had a great weekend at Monica’s! The house was beautiful and the location was great - so close to the park and the lake. We would definitely stay here again!

This is our second time staying here as a family. There are several reasons we came back: check in and out is very easy; the space accommodates our extended family very well; there is direct lake access though you have to be aware the path is “natural“ and as Doug has said in other reviews, they do not have control over improving the path; the space was very clean and all the essentials are provided; Doug is very responsive and got back to us very quickly when we had minor questions! We would highly recommend staying here, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the time we want to come back😁

We had a wonderful stay at Mary’s place. Her home was exactly as described and pictured. She thoughtfully stocked it and made it feel like a pampered resort. My family couldn’t have been more comfortable or at home. Mary was awesome and her home beautiful. If we’re ever traveling through again - we’d stop and stay just for the enjoyment. Highly recommend!

Wonderful historic home that is roomy and comfortable. Second time here and would certainly stay again. Beautifully appointed with great kitchen. Cute town with shops and restaurants nearby.

We had to travel to that area from Texas for a funeral and I just thought for two days my older brother and myself needed a tranquil place to stay. This little house and its location did not disappoint. Erin came and let us in and she was lovely. The accommodations were as described and comfortable. The lake is beautiful. So I guess the final question is would I stay at the lake house again in an absolute heartbeat in fact up in that area we have a family reunion over Labor Day and I may seek those accommodations again. Thank you, Steven and Erin for a lovely stay!

Gail and Bob were awesome! They communicated well with us as we traveled during the day. Their home is beautiful, clean, spacious and cozy. Convenient parking made unloading and loading simple. The bed? A-Mazing! Most comfortable we’ve slept in a long time! The jacuzzi warmed us to the bones!! We recommend The Hidden Gem to anyone traveling through Illinois.
