Guests will enjoy a double room with a comfortable double bed. The yard view overlooks Chesil Beach all the way over to Weymouth, as well as the Fleet Nature Reserve. With the Marina, Castletown and the Sailing Academy being a 5 minute drive from the house, the location is perfect for water sports as well as fishing and bird watching. Portland is popular for divers and for those who love walking or climbing; it’s an ideal, and beautiful, location as it forms part of the Jurassic coastal path.
My place is close to great views. You’ll love my place because of the light. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and furry friends (pets).
“We had a fantastic long weekend at Marion’s place. It feels bigger then the pictures suggest and very cozy. The room was comfortable and the spacious bathroom was spotless! The number 1 bus is a brilliant as it runs extremely regularly to Weymouth etc and the bus stop is only a short walk away. We have fallen in love with Portland and Weymouth. Even on a rainy day you will enjoy it. An excellent place to stay whilst you explore and enjoy the surroundings. The guest book gave us lots of tips on things to do. Bennett’s fish and chips in Weymouth is a must! We would definitely want to return. Thank you!”
Our spacious attic room features natural wood furnishings, and is complete with a kitchenette. We can offer our guests a basic self-service breakfast, with all the usual cereals and drink included. Towels, bedding, iron and hairdryer are provided. The television gives access to many internet channels including Netflix, and there is complimentary wi-fi. Please advise of any food allergies and we will do our best to cater to your needs!
“This is an absolutely excellent room made available by superb hosts. I was in the area for a one day Encaustic Wax art course (lynkirklandart.artweb.com) and could have easily stayed in Weymouth where there may have been more choice but Portland is an experience in itself and in conjunction with the wide range of activities on the Isle it is a waste not to also stay there. And what a great stay. Kirsty's communication throughout the process was superb and the very thoughtful touches (milk, bread, butter, jam, tea, coffee etc) alongside the excellent facilities (inc the shower - very good), particularly having a fridge available is very very useful; really made for a wonderful overnight stay. Whilst the February storms were raging outside I was tucked up warm and dry in a very very good room. Many thanks Kirsty!”
