Solitude is one of the most secluded & tranquil luxury properties in Niseko. The house is a 5 minute walk (400m) from Hanazono Lodge, the home of famed ski run Strawberry Fields. It is also 10 minute walk from Hanazono Golf, 18-holes course set in a beautiful natural setting featuring a spring water creek and natural birch forest and a stunning vistas of Mt. Yotei. 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, wine cellar and 2 Japanese style hot tubs.
“This is a fantastic property that is as close to Hanazono resort as one can be without actually staying there. Note that it is quite a distance from anything else. We had a vehicle, so it wasn't a factor for us. There is also a bus that runs to Hirafu and back. The cost is a few hundred yen each way. I believe the last bus back to Hanazono from Hirafu is around 9:00 PM. The property had everything that we needed to make our own breakfast every morning. Our group had a great time at Sonia's place.”
The Japanese couple who own and run the accommodation which has amazing view of spectacular Mt. Youtei. From the accommodation it only takes about 5 min by car to go to the Kutchan restaurant district, super markets & train station and 15-20 min to go to Hirafu/Hanazono ski resort areas by car.
“What can I say that my friend didn't already say before (scroll down for Harry's review)... Yes, that is right -- this is our second time staying at Hosana-san's beautiful home! My friends and I booked this place last year and it completely blew us away. We couldn't wait to come back, and once again we had a wonderful time this year! A perfect 10/10 and still my favorite Airbnb experience to date :) Hosana-san and her husband, Tadashi-san, are amazing hosts. They are very friendly and easy to communicate with and responded to all of our messages almost immediately. Whether it was questions about where to go (based on the snow reports) or recommendations for restaurants/izakayas, they really go above and beyond to make sure we had the best time possible! In addition to our daily dose of snowboarding, we also booked an awesome snowmobile tour thanks to Tadashi-san's recommendation. And, I haven't even gotten to describing the house yet... Their home is centrally-located in Kutchan, which means you have access to several resorts: Niseko-Hirafu (20 mins), Kiroro (35-45 min), and Rusutsu (35-45 min). It came with a large rental van (be sure to have a valid International Drivers Permit), which allowed us to jump around to wherever we wanted to go. The house is new/modern and sparkling clean! It has a total of 3 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom/shower, and all of the beds were very clean and comfortable. For those who like to buy groceries and cook, the kitchen has everything you need. We opted to cook our own breakfast every morning but ate out most nights thanks to Hosana/Tadashi-san's wonderful recommendations. There is a washer/dryer and a heated drying room, so you can hang up all your gear to dry them out. THANK YOU, Hosana-san and Tadashi-san, for making our trip so memorable once again!!! If all goes as planned, we seriously will be back again next season! Look forward to seeing you again! :)”
