“My wife and I and our little girl cannot express how much we loved staying at the cottage. It was such a wonderful experience and much needed relaxation. I am from Indiana and my wife is from Whitesburg...I have always dreaded taking that long, winding Journey but I can honestly say this time I had a wonderful experience. And that was mainly because of Kendall and Carol making us feel so comfortable and welcome. I cannot wait to go back down and stay in this magical cottage.”

“The cabin is very nice and spacious. Great for a family stay. Our favorite place to spend the day was at Bad Branch Falls. An easy but very lovely hike that ends at the falls. We swam in the clear pools at the bottom all day and were often the only ones around.”

“Staying with Emily is like staying with your favorite aunt. The minute I drove up at 11pm on a Sunday, she welcomed me in with open arms. The next night after I got home from work (here on a 14 week contract at ARH), we had dinner together and talked like very old friends. She is an incredible hostess and I could not be more thankful I took a chance on staying here instead of a hotel in Hazard like most travelers who come here. Her land is incredibly beautiful and I hike it with my dog every day. I haven't felt more relaxed in recent memory. Truly a gem on top of this remote mountain. Don't hesitate to come hang out with my dear friend Emily.”
