“Amazing hosts! Amazing coffee farm!!Amazing Experiences! Sara and her husband Edgar are simply the best hosts. They took extra great care of us, making sure we were thoroughly enjoying our stay from start to finish. We greatly enjoyed several experiences during our stay. We took a fully guided coffee tour from Edgar, picking the coffee and washing the coffee in the mill. You have no idea what it takes to produce your morning cup of coffee! In addition, this is a working dairy farm, and we witnessed a new calf being born as well as the daily milking of the cows. This is a large farm and we were able to horse back ride across the farm seeing amazing views. The coffee tour and the horseback rides were for a small extra fee and well worth it. I highly recommend these tours. The accommodations are spacious and very clean. And the views from the patio of the surrounding mountains and the daily sunsets made for a super relaxing stay. Thank you Sara and Edgar. You are amazing super hosts! We will be back for sure.”

“Staying with Carol and Carolina was great! I felt like they watched over me and took care of me as though I was one of the family and they have a nice little family. I had a lot of fun joking with them about the situation in Nicaragua right now. You know its good to laugh when things are difficult. The location was a little difficult to find. It probably would have been easier if I had asked a taxi to bring me, but I had a rental car at the time and I had to ask directions while driving around. Make sure you get the exact directions from them before you head there, do not rely on the map as the location there seems a bit off. Anyway its completely worth the effort to find. They arranged to park my car in the neighbor's secure lot just next door too. The house is very secure and so little sound from the surrounding neighborhood gets into the rooms its amazing for a Nicaraguan stay. The only thing a bit startling are the almonds that fall onto the rooves this time of year at any time of the day or night. There are some dogs, a cat and chickens too. But those sounds are appropriate. This is a great place to start a hike up to the Mirador of Cierro Apante. You can almost feel your way to the top, just by taking the steepest streets going up, until you find the park entrance. 30 cordobas. I highly recommend staying with Carol if you really enjoy interacting with kind and knowledgable hosts just slightly off the beaten track from the normal tourist stay.”

“This place is unique! Maria and Francisco are wonderful hosts, always able to help you out with anything! We've enjoyed all meals here and they were delicious, and plenty. During our stay, Sam was there to teach English to Maria, Francisco and their child Brandon. That was pretty helpful as our Spanish is not great. Francisco and Sam took us on a hike to the Salva Negra coffee farm. Francisco knew a lot about the vegetation in the area, which was great to hear about. We've also had a full day of rain, but even then it's a relaxing place to just read some books and enjoy the view on the cloud forest surrounding you. We did not make use of our private balcony, as the ones in the shared/public places of the house offer unforgettable views!”
