You'll have Serenity Cottage all to yourself; it's the perfect place to relax and unwind. Only five minutes away from the beautiful, historic town of Toodyay, yet far enough away for the silence to descend. We #HostWithPride and happily welcome diverse and amazing people from all over the world... just like you! Before booking please read our House rules.
“Enjoy a relaxing stay in tranquility just an hours’ drive from the city and easily accessible from Toodyay township, only 8 minutes away. The Queenslander style cottage has ample room for up to three people, very comfortable beds, ample wardrobe space, and basic toiletries in the bathroom/laundry. The kitchen has quality utensils and crockery, with basic condiments, milk, tea and coffee with a coffee machine. A nice roaring fireplace completes the snugness of the cottage. The best room in the house has to be the veranda, complete with hammock on one end, and a cosy couch to catch the morning sun. There you’ll find a pretty champagne kitty curled up to share the sun with you while you have your morning cuppa. Other extras include the free bikes for exploring around the neighbourhood . About a short 10 min walk will take you to the Avon River, a truly gorgeous site for a picnic and reflection. It does indeed live up to its name - Serenity. There is no wifi, and reception for mobile was iffy as was the tv reception. But you are not without things to do, with books, dvds, games, and just sheer relaxing on the verandah enjoying birdsongs. Bliss.”
Harders Hill is a place of escape. Even with your dog! We are pet-friendly. Enjoy the peacefulness of nature with 40 acres of green pasture, trees & wildlife. It is hard not to feel relaxed here. Explore the creek, watch cows graze the land and roos bound by. Get back to basics and relax in this cosy house on a hill. Roast marshmallows in the indoor wood burner or have a bonfire under star-lit skies. An ideal Family or Friends get-away. Sleeps 7. Toodyay Town centre is 10 min drive away.
“Don't hesitate to book here. We were 2 couples, a 6 month old, and 2 dogs. The main bedroom was great for the family of 3 while the other couple were in single beds in the other room. For some people that's a ruiner, but we were fine with that set up. The place is heated well, so you won't be cold in winter. Walking around the property was gorgeous. The dogs loved the space. There's a smaller fenced area to keep them too. Fire pit and pot belly fire outside a highlight. We watched the rain showers roll through the hills from inside. Kitchen fully equipped. BBQ was excellent. Very clean and tidy place. We would stay again and recommend others to do the same.”
Cosy and comfortable eco friendly cabin, located in the picturesque Chittering Valley on the Brockman River (60 mins from City). Over 100 acres of mostly bushland, this permaculture property is a haven for wildlife including kangaroos, emus, wedge-tailed eagles, wrens, countless other birds, reptiles, frogs and other critters. Relax on the verandah, take in the surrounds, watch and photograph the wildlife, contemplate a bush walk or sit back, unwind and enjoy a glass of wine. Stargaze at night.
“I highly recommend this lovely cottage for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat that is not too far from the city. The location is perfect for those who want solitude by staying on the property and cooking in, or those who want to enjoy the delights of the Swan Valley only 20 minutes away. The house is perfect for individuals, couples or families of up to 4 (but not ideal for toddlers). The place is spotlessly clean and the thoughtful owners have provided everything you could think of for a great holiday. The most special part was having so much beautiful wildlife literally on your doorstep. This is a special, magical place, my family are already looking forward to returning to. Loved it!”
