Great little cottage with a great view. The cottage lived up to expectations, and even without running water was great with a small child. Also a good place for a dog to keep free. Great grilling, sauna, swimming, and relaxation.

The cabin was amazing, in a very secluded lake front area in the forest whilst still close by to Joutsa and the main road so it is still well connected. There were plenty of amenities including a firepit, bbq, wood fired sauna and even a rowboat to go out on the lake. The cabin itself was very nice inside and the kitchen was well equipped! Despite WiFi not being available at the cabin the mobile data coverage in the area is very good. Just to note bedlinen isn't included, although the host, Pasi, can provide this for a small additional fee on request. Pasi was very friendly, accommodating and helpful, and actually met us at the cabin to check in which was nice! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a lovely quiet getaway in central Finland!

Beautiful and peaceful place, well-equipped but still a cottage-like vibe. Two people and a dog enjoyed a week better than well. We might as well come back here.

Comfortable, well suited small apartment for a couple in a terraced house near the beach. The holiday village was very peaceful, and we were able to enjoy late night swimming while admiring the shooting stars and the aurora borealis. The air conditioning came in handy during the warm days of early August. There would have been jogging trails nearby, but we spent a week taking day trips to Päijät-Häme and Central Finland.

stayed two weeks with a friend and his family. there were a total of 8 of us. plenty of room, especially the back yard and the lake. it was nice and quiet, yet a close 10min drive will get us to a super market, 20 minutes drive will get us to Jyvaskyla down town.

Mika is a super polite host and the place is more than awesome. We stay five days in paradise and hope to come back sooner.

Had an overall lovely stay with my partner in a spectacular location right by the lake. Astonishing views for both breakfast and dinner were served right through the windows of the cottage. The price is of course in accordance with these features, maybe even a little too much. It might have been the particular weather but it was quite challenging to get the sauna ventilation exactly to where it doesn't let the smoke in the room.

Wonderful cottage at the lakeside with perfect sauna. As we travelled without a car, we appreciated the bus connections (every half hour) to the city center and grocery stores.

Very friendly host, tidy room and functional kitchen. Working remotely went smoothly looking at the lake landscape. Thanks for staying at home!

This place is a gem! Perfect location, built by hand, amazing hosts and last but not least, the sauna was the best! Very helpful and friendly hosts, even booked us a taxi back to Jyvaskyla train station for our early departure. An easy 5 stars, would recommend to anyone. Sitting by the woodstove was the best way to end the day after hiking on the trails in the magical forest close to the BnB.

Our stay was very pleasant. The place was beautiful and had everything we needed for a comfortable time. The lake was perfect for a relaxing boat ride, and the natural surroundings made the atmosphere very peaceful. We really appreciated the thoughtful setup. Thanks for a lovely stay ❤️

Amazing cabin, perfect to get away from anyone

Cute and cozy apartment. Especially suitable for a short stay. The kitchen has the basics, but some worn out. The bathroom is small. You can get to Himos in 20 minutes by car. Peaceful location. Very good value.
