“Lovely place to stay and excellent location close to Miranda Shorebirds Centre. Just across the road from the beach and a great view from the front deck. Cottage is beautifully kept and has all the amenities for a longer stay than the one night we were there. Paul is very friendly and the communication from him was very good.”
"Wens Place" is a delightful 1 bedroom cottage in a peaceful and private bush setting. Fully self contained with everything you need to for a fabulous holiday. Set in the bush above the town, it has the tranquility of the bush but is only a few minutes from Thames. The hosts live next door but your privacy is assured. There is ample room to park your boat if required. Thames is the Gateway to the Coromandel Peninsula and is not far from all the beautiful beaches including Hot Water Beach.
“So glad we chose this place, I don't think the photos really do it justice. It is cozy but big enough and very comfortable, bed is warm, very well stocked kitchen including oven so you can cook properly. Lovely to have windows on 3 sides in bedroom, Wendy and her partner left us to our own devices which was perfect for us. Extra touches like the stereo, candle, plenty of herbal teas as well as regular tea, made us feel at home. Pak N Save is a short drive away. We would definitely come back if in Thames again.”
The Pearl of Whakatiwai. A completely restored Bed/kitchen/dining room with separate shower and toilet. This house was built in the 50's and so we have lovingly recreated the whole 50's vibe for your enjoyment. Right on the edge of the Firth of Thames you can lie in bed and see the views that go on forever. A great little kitchen with new oven and fridge, plus all the tools you need if you want a "foodie" get away. Great fishing right on your doorstep.
“Just the loveliest cottage directly at the coastline. During the nz lock down Roimata gave us a place to stay, which we could make our home. Fresh veggies and herbs as well as eggs and homemade bread are complementary... So we're the lovely conversations in the garden. We are happy to extended our stay! Truly a superhost.”
