“Ashok's farm is located very close to a wildlife sanctuary, tucked away in the outskirts of a small village of Karmane. The cottages are very roomy, bright and comfortable. The idea is to get away from the hectic city life and the crowded beaches, and disconnect yourself for a few days. So be prepared for no (or minimal) cellular and internet connectivity and no television. Wake up to the chirping birds and crispy mornings, drink hot tea, take a walk along the meandering paths along with the grazing cattle in the plantation, read a book, take a dip in the swimming pool, walk to the river and relax by the watering hole, and enjoy delicious home cooked vegetarian food. You will not be disappointed :)”

“We stayed here for two months with our two babies, one three years old and the other five months old. We originally booked this place to stay for a month but we happily decided to stay for two months just after staying here for few days. The place was exactly as described in the listing. The villa itself is in a very quiet area surrounded by coconut and mango trees. Bus stop to Margaon is just a few metres away and a small grocery store was a few minutes walk away where we could find all the basic things we needed for cooking. There was a market which was about 15 minutes walk from the Villa where we could find everything from fresh vegetables, fruits, fish, meat, milk, and groceries. There were ATMs from a few major Indian banks in the market area. There were also local vendors who came to our doorstep to deliver bread, snacks, milk, fish, and some vegetables everyday. There is a public ground across from the house where locals come to workout everyday. We went there regularly for our runs and to spend time with our kids. Our hosts Alex and Lenzi and their kids were kind and always supportive which made our stay very comfortable. We stayed here during the Coronavirus lockdown period and Alex & Lenzi gave us a lot of tips on where to find groceries, and also brought us some groceries from their contacts during lockdown. The neighbourhood was in a very calm and quiet area. Neighbours were friendly and always eager to interact and share about the culture of the area. Everyone in the village and in the market were very friendly and kind. Definitely a nice place to stay for short and long terms.”
