For sure this was one of the most special accommodations we had. Sleeping in a stone-encrusted house is a unique experience. Despite the rustic style, the house is cozy and spacious. Highly recommended for families with children. We get great tips from tours and restaurants from Merve, the owners' niece, who speaks fluent English and is very kind.

We couldn't have imagined better for our vacation. Very well located accommodation, in the morning sunrise with views of the hot air balloons, close to all the places to visit Göreme, Nevşehir and Avanos. In addition, Emre is a welcoming and available host with very good tips for places to visit and excursions. I can't message without mentioning Zena the most adorable dog I've seen so far.

We are very pleased to stay in such a nice place for the same fee in the middle compared to the high pricing of the Cappadocia region. By car, the entire Cappadocia region can be reached in a short time. Since we were too meticulous about hygiene, there were some detailed cleaning deficiencies that came to our attention, but it was generally clean. Price performance 10/10

We were very happy we chose to stay at Canyon Cave Hotel. The hotel was very lovely, (just as pictured) and great value. Metin was a fantastic host - very responsive - and the reception was open 24/7. He speaks perfect English and helped us organize the activities we wanted to do. As others mentioned, the breakfast was delicious and well worth it! Urgup in general is slightly smaller than Goreme, while still having some lovely restaurants. It’s just a 15 minute taxi to Goreme. Overall, we found Cappadocia quite expensive (inflated tourist prices, similar or higher than what we pay at home in Vancouver BC!). Highlights for us were: balloon ride, hiking Zima valley, sunset horseback ride, Keslik Monastery, and Sema ceremony (Sufi whirling dervishes). We are glad we saw this beautiful and historic corner of the world!
