Monthly Rentals in Keauhou Bay

This was the third time that we rented this lovely little space. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for an open, airy, well appointed and comfortable stay. Lennis is a fantastic host. There has been total consistency in communication, cleanliness, and of course the sheer beauty that surround it. Morning coffee (there are three different options on how to make your coffee, BTW) on the lanai (patio), watching the sky change above the ocean, and listening to the sounds of Hawaii come to life is one of my favorite things ever. My son lives on the island, so we visit often. This is our favorite place to stay, hands down. Just don't ever book when we want it! lol

Suzanne was very responsive both before and during my stay, and my messages were usually replied to in minutes, not hours. I would definitely stay at Captain's House again!

Based on cost, I would give this condo 5 stars. The view of the ocean from the upstairs lanai is great and we could even hear the sound of the waves most nights. The lanai is large and fairly private from the neighbors due to privacy screens between lanais. The landscaping on the property was nice as was the pool. The neighborhood was nice and quiet, and there is a shopping center a few minutes away for groceries, etc. The location was the perfect distance from the Kailua-Kona area for us. It was far enough away to be much more peaceful but close enough to be able to access all the shops/restaurants. The condo was well stocked with beach towels, extra linens, beach/snorkel equipment and cookware. They seemed to have good pest control as we never saw any bugs inside the condo. The condo could use a little TLC; mostly just touching up paint, a few cracked tiles, etc. The decor felt nice and updated otherwise. With no A/C, it was warm in the afternoons but comfortable at night.

We stayed at Peter and Lori’s for the last few days of our honeymoon and were blown away! The pictures don’t do the property justice at all. Between the waterfront access (with kayaks and paddle boards provided), the spacious living area/stocked kitchen, and even Peter letting us have fresh fruits from their trees, we couldn’t have had a better experience!!! Peter was there to help us when needed, but also let us explore how we wanted. We also loved utilizing the Manta Ray/snorkeling experiences that he recommended just a walk down the street in the same bay. We didn’t want to leave and cannot wait to come back!
