Beautiful interior, calm and homely. Fantastic location for the Observatory, Castle and walking from your front door. Hot water needed a boost now and then but instructions for this were clear. Lovely basket of goodies on arrival to enjoy in front of the fire. Thank you!

This is a great place to explore Kielder, and the broader national park. It’s peaceful, comfortable and has everything you might need for a family break. Would highly recommend it.

We absolutely loved our weekend at Heron Cottage, two nights was simply not enough. The scenery is beautiful and peaceful, Bellingham has all you need and is within walking distance (@15-20 minutes) and the cottage itself very well equipped, cosy and homely. Rachel is a fantastic host; helpful, friendly, welcoming and she made travelling with a baby easier and more relaxed than is quite often the case. I would return here in a heartbeat.
