Hardy's monument is situated a few miles away. The area offers good cycling both on and off road. Good access to the Dorset coastline which is a short drive away.

The meadow is rich in wildlife; in late summer the hay is harvested and during the winter months our flock of Gotland sheep come to graze. Situated on the edge of the village, this is an ideal base to explore all that the countryside and Jurassic coastline have to offer, or to just sit in the meadow and listen to the birds!
