The vacation rental is located in Melkendorf, a district of Litzendorf. We are located in Franconian Tuscany, which forms the transition to Franconian Switzerland. Thanks to its location in the Ellertal valley, at the foot of the Franconian Jura, the municipality is considered part of northern Franconian Switzerland. So, entry into the region is practically immediate. With us, you can experience pure nature, numerous hiking trails, and many attractions, with the added benefit of being within a 10-minute drive of Bamberg.

In the small wooden house surrounded by half-timbered houses in the quiet village center, you can relax and enjoy the nature of nearby Franconian Switzerland. The loft-like ecological wooden construction makes the apartment unique. Heating is provided by a wood-burning stove. There is also underfloor heating in the bathroom and adjoining room. In the secluded garden area, a sauna, cold water shower with bathtub, sun loungers and dining area are at your disposal. The surroundings entice with numerous outdoor activities.

Children free of charge (see other relevant information). Living on a former agricultural estate. Very rural and quiet. The apartment is completely barrier-free and equipped with an elevator. In the surrounding area you can hike, climb, relax at the swimming lake, visit cities such as Bamberg, Bad Staffelstein, Coburg, Kronach, Bayreuth and Kulmbach. It is also wonderful to simply enjoy the peace and quiet in the garden or on the terrace and to watch chickens, running ducks or sometimes sheep.

Franconian Switzerland offers more than 4,500 km of hiking trails through graceful valleys and rocky landscapes. Some caves guarantee an experience for the whole family with their fascinating underworld.

We lovingly restored our old farmhouse in 2016. The indoor climate is pleasant because the whole house is equipped with wall heating and clay plaster. It is located in a small place with only a few houses and is particularly suitable for nature lovers and people looking for peace and quiet. Children will also get their money's worth. Telephone, satellite TV and Wi-Fi are available, making our accommodation also ideal for home office with family. The nearest shopping is 4 km away.

You will live in a beautiful, sunny location, nestled in the middle of forest and meadows, idyllic and quiet. Far away from through traffic. Our village brewery Schroll invites you to hearty snacks in the beer garden on Friday & Saturday.
