“This is absolutely the best accomodation I found in South Africa. The location was really cool in the middle of the nature, inside a private reserve and really close to some animals sanctuaries. Keegan is extremely friendly and he helped us immediately when we had issues (for example when we couldn't find the accomodation as it's a bit hidden). That's the perfect place to relax a bit in the nature, it's really comfortable and cozy, it has everything you need for a pleasant stay and I loved the natural products that were there (like the body wash, body lotion etc.). Unfortunately we only stayed there one night, but I wish we could have stayed longer. Next time I would choose it again for sure”
This cottage in TWEE RIVIERE village, forms part of the tree-rich campus grounds of The South African Institute for Heritage Science, and is situated diagonally across the road from the popular Belfry Kitchen restaurant.
“This place was amazing! the kitchen has fantastic meals that are made with the very best ingredients. The cottage was lovely with unique touches, comfortable beds, spotless bedding, and the antique furniture makes for a homie decoration. Hospitality is EXCELLENT, they really go the extra mile to make their guest feel absolutely comfortable and everyone is super friendly. Another thing that we loved is the world music playing at the restaurant! We will definitely go back to this place as many times as possible and recommend it to everyone traveling to the area.”
This vintage forest cabin is perched above our pristine mountain stream, set amidst a highly diverse indigenous botanical forest wetland. The cabin is entirely private with a large deck and extensive views of both mountain peaks. Hand built by owner over a period of two years, with hardwood floors throughout, hand waxed with beeswaxpolish from our own hives. Guests enjoy their own private access along their secluded forest path. A vintage Nestor Martin canon style wood stove will restore you.
“The stay in this cottage is a once in a lifetime eyperience you will never forget. Robert build it all by himself and it has so many little details thought through. The outside shower was wonderful and the meat that Robert prepared for our BBQ was super delicious. Although the cottage is situated in between the lush vegetation you wont have too many mosquitos. Robert is the most friendly host and puts his whole heart in the Garden and will make your stay unforgettable. Every morning he brought us fresh food and gave us Tipps to explore not only the plants and fruits in the Garden but the whole area. George played so adorable with our kids and is already also a super host. Thank you guys. You are awesome!”
