On hill near lake with great lake views across to town, between North & South Acacia Bays. Open plan kitchenette/dining/ lounge. Microwave, airfryer, electric pan, rice cooker. Heat pump/ Air conditioner. Bedroom (king & single bed)with compact bathroom leads onto private deck (lovely view across lake) with table, 2 chairs and weber bbq Maximum 2 guests. Not suitable for child.

An Exceptional “John Scott” an architectural dream

We would love to welcome you to our unique John Scott home/apartment (with radiators!). The New Zealand Architect, John Scott, was an eccentric chap and was renowned for designing unique buildings. Our home doesn’t disappoint and we are excited to share it with the air bnb community. A self contained wing of our home is located in a tranquil spot. A five minute drive or a stroll along the lakefront will get you into town. We are a few minutes walk from the Botanical Gardens and the lakefront.

Fantastic views, unique ambience, peaceful setting

Wifi available. Enjoy our one bedroom apartment overlooking the lake, town & Mount Tauhara. Whether its a romantic weekend for two ( no children) or a base for your adrenalin packed holiday around the central plateau, you will find our cosy cottage an ideal base. Please note,great views also mean a bit of a climb. We have 33 steps up to our door. If you have mobility needs please check the photos before booking. This apartment block was built in 1976, so does look old and tired on the outside.

Our treasure cottage retreat at the lake.

Located in a quiet grove, our home has a modern open plan living area which flows out to a large outdoor living area, featuring a private back yard with all day sun. Within walking distance there is a large lakefront reserve, cafe, tennis courts, kids playground and bush walks to explore. The supermarket is a 15 minute drive, general store 3 minute drive and 2 boat ramps just a minute away. Perfect base for Whakapapa ski field, Tongariro crossing and various mountain biking or walking tracks.

"The End of the Road"

The bach is well equipped, but GUESTS MUST SUPPLY OWN LINEN (sheets, pillow slips & towels), and CLEAN it before leaving. It is a fisherman's bach at the end of a quiet street. Lake Taupo is a 10 minute walk and the Tauranga Taupo River nearby. We have plenty of duvets and blankets. NO WIFI. If you are unable to clean the house before you leave or supply your own linen it's better if you find a motel or hotel nearby. We keep the price lower by not having a cleaning fee.

Private spacious bedroom with patio and connecting private spa. Totally independent accommodation with no shared spaces. Great location for accessing Lake Taupo (5 minutes) walk including great marina and cafe. Turangi (10 minutes drive), World famous trout fishing in the Tongariro River. Ski fields, tramping and Tongariro Crossing are only 45 minutes away. Taupo is just over half an hour away to the North. Accommodation is situated at the end of a quiet cul de sac.
