“The apartment is on the basement level of the house with a separate kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom and some other room we have not used) Everything is clean and nice. Dave was very welcoming, he met us on the arrival and showed the apartment. The main experience for us was the amazing view of the mountains with green meadows, sheep and a waterfall opening from the backyard of the house. There is also a trail starting from the backyard - definitely recommended if you want to take a morning walk in the woods. Thank you, Charlotte and Dave!”

“"Forest Essence - Affordable Luxury" is just what it says on the tin. A modern, well-appointed, and fairly luxe flat cheek to jowl with breathtaking mountain nature for an awesome price. Right away, Jill was thoughtful and helpful and really took an interest in making sure our stay was as easy and enjoyable as possible. The space is gorgeous; an airy, dreamy little apartment with a great kitchen and a big, comfy bed. The location overall is even better -- a postcard-perfect small farm surrounded on all sides by mountains, deep forest, rivers, and lakes. And it's incredibly quiet, sitting below the nearest main road. You fall asleep listening to the nearby stream and the gentle clattering of cowbells on the hill rather than the sound of traffic. There's plenty of nature activity fun to be had, much more than we could exhaust during our stay, so you can really go out and get sunny and sweaty before unwinding at night in the amazing Jacuzzi tub. We were very lucky with 5 days of perfect weather, but I wouldn't have resented a quiet day reading indoors if there had been rain. The space is cozy and relaxing on its own. My top tips for future guests would be DON'T forget bug repellent as we did initially because without it we did get eaten alive by midges the first evening out on the boat, and DO take the recommended walk up to Åljersvatn and beyond. We went as far as 3 Varder and it's one of the most astonishing landscapes I've ever visited. And I'm from Alaska, so there's stiff competition. All in all, while I've never had a bad airbnb experience, this is definitely right up at the top and I hope we can visit again, maybe during blueberry season.”
