Come and relax to this beautiful cabin, located near the main tourist attractions from the area, Pozo Azul, Tirimbina and Rio Sarapiqui where you can do rafting, canopy, rappel and enjoy the pineapple and chocolate Tours.
“Our family loved staying here. Sunrises had the most idyllic vibe and colors. Every morning we were welcomed by playfully curious Capuchin Monkeys, a vast panoply of birds (Toucan, doves, hummingbird, many more... that we enjoyed googling about), an adorable friendly dog, a squirrel, ... We could also hear Howler Monkeys. The 3 beds were perfect for our family of 5, (there was also an air-mattress and a divan that we didn't use). The bathroom is located downstairs but our youngest (7 years old) ones had no trouble during nightly bathroom visits. The bathroom towels and bed linens were perfect and very clean. The kitchen was very well equipped and great to prepare our own meals, until we found a great Soda El Kora, at a simply 5 minute drive, on road 126. (Their food is simply delicious and their owners are very friendly and welcoming) We also did the Tirimbina Rainforest Night tour (One of the suggestions left for us) and it was a must do again when we return. We loved our stay! Thank you for making our first trip to Costa Rica so special.”
If you are a nature lover who would also like to experience the lifestyle of a rural Costa Rican family and learn about sustainability, this is for you! The Eco Guest House is a private, natural, peaceful and healthy place to have fun and learn.
“If you want an authentic Costa Rica experience, stay here! We were fully immersed in nature, hearing birds and monkeys everyday. The family can set you up with amazing tours (we did a boat tour and a night amphibian walk) and they are much cheaper than booking on your own. Wendy was not there during our stay, but the guides we had were great. There is no WiFi in the cabin, so you can unplug. There is WiFi at the main house, so you can reconnect whenever you need to! No a/c but there is an amazing breeze so it wasn’t a problem. There are also hammocks on the back patio that are a perfect touch! One thing to note is the shower water is “warm” not hot! Overall I would 100% recommend Wendy’s Eco House.”
We offer for rent two houses, on the shore of the "Rio Sonora" with a small waterfall. 1. "El Rancho", wooden house on stilts with a palm roof (30 sqm) 2. "La Cascada", small stone cottage (25 sqm). The river is fun for children and adults (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8tvPjs77Lo). The property is adjacent to a 1800 ha nature reserve and a vanilla plantation that is maintained like a park. You may be observed walking while howling or capuchin monkeys.
“What a great discovery! What a great meeting! We were immersed in the Costa Rican jungle in these small rustic huts. For nature lovers, awakening with howler monkeys, birds, the sun ... Outdoor shower or swimming in the river. Watch out for the adorable little bats in the toilets (you are not afraid!) Which are the biggest pollinators in the forest. Well located in relation to the reserve (Selda verde and tirimbina), a 4x4 is highly recommended. The welcome from Werner and Ursula leaves us with fond memories. Excellent meal and breakfast in a rare place. The tour to visit the vanilla culture is exciting!”
