Waterfront 1930s Bayou Teche Cajun Creole CottageWaterfront Cottage overlooking the Bayou Teche, only 50 feet away. Restored updated c. 1935 cottage in culturally rich Arnaudville LA. Original art, high ceilings, full kitchen. This isn't a slapped together restoration. An embracing non-toxic space using old growth salvaged wood, homemade milk paint, and Tung oil finishes. Access to major highways. Walk-able town and kayaking. Near Lafayette. Two more cottages less than 50 feet away offered by the same host (click on profile image).
Large room with private bathroom and entranceThe lighting is bright in the kitchen, but a cozy yellow in the guest room. It’s very spacious and quiet. The neighborhood is somewhat small and everyone is so nice. It’s full of families and older couples. I love to walk around the neighborhood. There’s so many cute houses. No one is ever loud in this neighborhood besides only one person who sometimes blares their music in their lifted truck. The house is right on the edge of lafayette. Close enough to everything yet far away from the noise.
La Tortue, walking distance to everything Cajun! This newly renovated cottage, with a modern European design boasts vaulted tin ceilings, full kitchen, sliding doors for beautiful views leading to a wrap around porch and dock nestled on a pond surrounded by 4.5 acres of property. Wake up to a rich cup of coffee or tea (provided), step out on the porch to enjoy all the sights and sounds of Cajun Country. The pond is a natural home to the blue heron, great white egret, the red-eared slider turtle, bullfrogs, and a few Louisiana crawfish!
