Vacation rentals with a kayak in Leeward Islands

Sam and Toriki are wonderful hosts and this is a perfect place to stay for people who like to swim, snorkel or kayak and read or and chill in a perfect and simple place. It’ an unbelievably beautiful location and it’s for those who want to get back to nature. Provisioning in town is easy to do; so is going off the motu to Fare or Avea Bay for a lunch or dinner out if you have a rental car at their mainland pier, which I heartily recommend. It was hot in late December and there’s no AC but you just jump in the water to cool off. There are plenty of clean linens and towels. The bed was comfortable and the showers are great, inside and on the beach. Loved every moment of our stay.

This place was just as advertised; we had a great time! If you are looking for a hopping nightlife and the bustle of town, this rental might not be right for you. If you are looking for a beautiful private secluded beach with easy access to kayak to the motu or snorkel the reef right out your front door, then this is the place for you. We had a great time snorkeling, kayaking, visiting the motu, watching the sun set and lightning strike when it was raining, and generally enjoyed the privacy and natural beauty Raiatea has to offer. We rented a car for some of our stay and crused the island to find a short hike here and there and we visited the pearl farm on the other side of the island. I recommend this site without any reservations as long as a quiet get away is your goal.

Thierry is the dream host, very kind, very cautious, attentive and available. He is great advice and his knowledge is valuable to discover the lagoon and the island. The Noha is an EXCEPTIONAL place with beautiful views and surroundings. The bungalow where we stayed was very nice and we felt right at home. We highly recommend the Noha and thank Thierry very warmly for hosting us.

The location offered some of the best snorkeling in our entire FR Polynesia trip. You paddle board out (not far) and the Moto and reef are incredible. The cottage is perfect. The most comfortable beds. Great comfy furnishings. Plenty of space for a group to spread out for peace but also come together to talk, play and eat. The location is on the “little” island which offers solitude. We found everything we wanted to do within a short drive. In fact, being at the house was so perfect… we didn’t leave as much as planned. The local house manager was wonderful and the neighboring house had a visiting dog who is incredibly friendly and made us feel safe at night :) while keeping watch on the porch. Everything was perfect! Highly recommended!!!!!

We loved our stay in this beautiful villa. Alain was such a kind and helpful host! The home is very clean and well equipped. The view is absolutely spectacular across the bay. The balcony is the perfect place to watch the sunrises and end the day as the sunset lights up the sky. The pool area is beautiful as well and it is so nice to have a refreshing area to cool off. We really enjoyed having a car available to rent at the home. The kayaks were an added bonus. We saw a turtle, eagle ray and shark along with many beautiful fish during our morning kayak. We can’t wait to come back!

We had an amazing stay in Taha'a! The house is simply superb, spacious, tastefully decorated and perfectly located by the water. Waking up every morning in front of the lagoon was a real joy. The setting is peaceful, ideal to recharge and enjoy the beauty of the island. The welcome was warm and everything was perfectly clean and well-equipped. We recommend this Airbnb without a second thought to anyone who wants to have an authentic and unforgettable experience in Taha'a. Big thanks for a wonderful stay!

The best thing was the location to the ocean. The water was shockingly warm, crystal clear, lots of colourful fish and some coral close to shore. The entrance gate worked perfectly and having an automated key fob to use was so helpful. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was great. Loved eating outside on the covered deck, great to have an outside clothes line as well. We used the hammock (shared with sister Airbnb rental next door on the property) and the shared kayaks.
