Our stay at Maria’s charming historical villa on the stunning island of Favignana was pure bliss. From the moment she picked us up at the harbor, we felt her warm and kind-hearted nature. Despite my Italian not being perfect, we understood each other effortlessly and felt a deep, mutual connection. We spent our days on the beautiful terrace, enjoying swims in the crystal-clear, turquoise waters of our secluded cala. The villa’s location is perfect for exploring the island by bike, e-bike, or motorbike. We chose regular bikes, embracing the “dolce far niente” vibe as we leisurely explored every corner of the island’s beauty. Despite Maria describing the villa as small, it felt like a luxurious paradise with everything we needed and beyond. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax, recharge, and discover Favignana’s charm. We’ll definitely be back if we’re lucky enough to find this magical villa available again. This Airbnb served as the perfect home base for our stay in Favignana. While every day was spent at the beach, we equally enjoyed starting and ending our days at the Airbnb and on the terrace. Tons of indoor and outdoor space, the apartment had everything we needed: well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, strong AC, and a washing machine. Location was perfect. Would absolutely stay here again.

This listing is absolutely stunning and in a prime yet quiet location. There are plenty of amenities - AC, outdoor kitchen, a lovely bathroom, hairdryer, washing machine, etc. Rocco was a stellar host - he picked us up from the port and gave us a guided tour of the downtown area. He has great taste in restaurants - Formica was spectacular. I would recommend this location to everyone and hope to be back in the future. Favignana is a very special place!!

Rosa's rental was exactly what I expected. Great views, easy to find, all your basic amenities. The view of the castle is beautiful, and listening to the sound of the sea and the hollering of the old guys working on their boats really sets the scene. Rosa's apartment was just what I needed. A couple of things I would recommend to visitors to Marettimo: the village is very small -- only 300ish year-round residents -- and thus very closely connected. Everybody knows everybody. If you are a solo English-speaking traveler like myself, it can feel somewhat isolating. I wish I would have spent a little more time working on my Italian, or maybe brought along a companion. Traveling solo in Italy -- especially Sicily -- can be a little daunting, and Marettimo really epitomizes that. Also, watch where you step in the street. Dog droppings abound.
