This is one of the few places in the area with a pool.
The space
Commune with the Greek god of light at this contemporary villa in the Agios Ioannis area of Mykonos. With panoramic, west-facing views of the Aegean Sea and island of Delos (legendary birthplace of Apollo), the home features expansive outdoor spaces for sun-filled days and sunset celebrations. Walk or drive minutes to some of the island’s finest beaches, including Orfos.
Designed by the Spanish architect Javier Barba, the villa balances ancient Cycladic principles with contemporary artistry (such as the beautifully wrought entry gate by Alekos Fasianos). Multiple outdoor living and dining areas include a pergola-shaded terrace with lounge, bar, and dining table. Down below, the ample pool terrace yields to a bistro-style observation deck. The vistas encompass the islands of Delos and Paros, as well as an antique church nearby.
Minimalist interiors feature soothing white walls, exposed wood and stone, and curved archways. Plentiful windows infuse the home with natural light and sea-fresh breezes, while thick, hand-built walls balance the climate naturally. Several of the bedrooms open to outdoor living areas (including a veranda off the master suite), and 2 have kitchenettes. High-end amenities include an indoor/outdoor sound system, 8 TVs, and a wine fridge for 70 bottles.
The villa is about 2 minutes from Orfo Beach, a famed kite- and wind-surfing spot, and a short drive from Agios Ioannis Beach. Head about 15 minutes into Mykonos town for its famous windmills, ancient streets, and extraordinary archeological museum.
