There are now words to describe the beauty of the place Mayuri and her family have created. It is simply amazing and worth a trip to Chiang Rai on its own. That is not to say you should expect everything to be 100% perfect and always absolutely quiet (at times one can hear the nearby village life). However, the atmosphere is serene, the nature and facilities (incl. pool area and garden) beautiful, the food amazing and the hosts extremely friendly and welcoming. One of our best Airbnbs ever.

We were delighted to be Roger and Gib’s very first guests! From the moment we arrived, they made us feel incredibly welcome, giving us a thorough tour of their lovely annex and happily answering all our questions. They also recommended plenty of wonderful places to visit in Chai Prakan and beyond, which really enriched our stay. That evening, they kindly invited us to join them and their friends for drinks and some food at their main house. We had a fantastic time chatting with them, as well as their Thai and Japanese friends—it was such a warm and friendly gathering, and we truly felt part of the group. The annex itself was spotless and exactly as described in the listing. The kitchen was well-equipped with a microwave and kettle, and Roger had thoughtfully left us some Twinings herbal tea and Nescafé coffee, which was a lovely touch. Roger and Gib are wonderful hosts, and we wish them every success with their Airbnb. If we’re ever back in the area, we’d love to visit them again!

Phatthana House far exceeded our expectations! As a group of 4 looking for a peaceful stay in Chiang Rai, this homestay experience has been delightful and we will be coming back. The host was extremely kind and generous with her recommendations. Seeing as to how we spoke only english, she made sure to communicate with us clearly via google translate and we are so grateful for that. The host and her family were extremely hospitable–they loaned us their bikes, cooked for us and continuously sought out our best interest. We’ve never experienced such hospitality and have great respect for how she runs her business – with much kindness, grace and generosity. Thank you again for the memorable stay ❤️

Amazing huge house, well equipped, located in a very quiet and relaxing place. Very comfortable large beds. We loved stay. Host and neighbor were very kind and helpful. Wonderful place.
