I would strongly recommend this place. Lapyn is really lovely. Best homestay I have stayed in a long time. It’s value for money for sure.

The place turned out to be better than what we had imagined. We came on a public holiday and somehow we were the only ones around not just in the premises, but the entire valley. The place is a comfortable stay for 1-2 nights and was arguably the highlight of our 9-day Meghalaya trip, simply because of the location - living in a well-setup cabin in a forest, looking over a river, under stars at night and by the river side in the morning. Amit was very helpful throughout, even before we had made the booking and he helped me with answers about rest of my trip. I really wanted to stay for at least a night here and it was really worth it. Because of holiday, restaurants were closed but Amit helped us find a good place to get dinner before we arrived at the place. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for an offbeat stay away from the hotels and homestays. Come for the peace it has to offer. The place has been built with a lot of love and I hope future guests can keep it that way.

Ibamary isn’t just a superhost-she’s a total ROCKSTAR! From the moment we arrived, she made us feel not just welcome, but like family. Her warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail set the tone for a truly memorable stay. A big shoutout as well to her amazing support staff, who were incredibly courteous and consistently served us fresh, timely breakfasts while also helping with daily upkeep, bless their kind souls! My goal from the beginning was to find a stay that offered both comfort and a sense of home for my family, and this homestay delivered on every front. Communication with Ibamary was seamless, and her knowledge of the area and Meghalaya as a whole is no exaggeration! It’s genuinely impressive. Her travel and food recommendations were spot on, which is a rare talent and enriched our trip. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting the region. I'd return in a heartbeat, whether with kids or elders, because this place guarantees peace of mind.

Dvonne was there to welcome when we arrive. He was very friendly and helpful. After ensuring a smooth checkin he showed us the room and explained about water and appliances. We had to leave early so we couldn't connect but overall the places it really good (like a studio apartment) and cozy.
