The Sinclair Suite

This 1 bedroom/1 bath private home was originally a historic Sinclair gas station. Renovated in 2023, we’ve kept as much of the original building’s elements as possible while restoring it to create both a unique and relaxing experience. The bay area has been converted into a living/sleeping space that includes a TV & seating area as well as two queen-sized beds and a sleeper sofa. The former office space now features a full kitchen. A back patio, firepit, washer & dryer are all located on site.

Experience a time when life was less complicated in this "Vintage Eclectic" 1950's style home. Original oak floors with vintage decor from the 50's gives one an idea of what life was like to live on the Mother Road. Two bedrooms accented with furniture, colors, and wall art reflective of the area and time period. There's also a reading room to soak in the sun and have your morning coffee. Nestled at the foothills of the Wichita Mountains, the Take a Hike Cabin at The Lazy Buffalo portrays the captivating landscape that awaits you in the Wichita Mountains where you can find 59,000 acres of mixed prairie grass, ancient mountains, lakes, streams, and miles upon miles of trails waiting to be discovered. The Lazy Buffalo has 13 themed cabins. The spacious Take a Hike Cabin is handicap accessible, sleeps 2 guests, and offers a king size bed and bathroom with a roll in tiled shower.

One bedroom cabin on 1500 private acres of the Quartz Mountains. The owners live on the same property near the cabin. Hiking, wildlife watching, fishing within walking distance. Cabin is 300 square feet and has two twin bunk beds and one full bed. A full kitchen with an apartment sized fridge. Bathroom with shower. Electric outdoor grill. Fire pit when weather permits. The separate drive and front entrance, leading all the way to the backyard, mimics a shotgun style house. Its charm and unique history will make your stay one to remember.

If you are coming in from the city and just need to hear silence for a day or two, working in town but want your own space, bringing a family together for vacation/holidays or a couple that just needs a weekend away to reconnect. *It does have a 4 mile stretch of dirt road.
