I had the most wonderful experience staying at Cathy’s place! From the moment we arrived, she gave us such a warm and genuine welcome that instantly made us feel at home. Knowing we were new to the area, she even took the time to accompany us to a nearby store to get groceries — such a thoughtful gesture! Cathy truly went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met. The rooms were spotless, well-maintained, and extremely comfortable. What impressed us most was how she helped us plan our itinerary for the next day. We were short on time, and she suggested the most convenient and worthwhile sightseeing spots, saving us a lot of stress and effort. I genuinely believe Cathy is the best host I’ve ever met on Airbnb. Her kindness, attention to detail, and hospitality made our trip extra special. Without a doubt, I will stay at her place again whenever I’m in Shillong!

The caretaker Rhima is a smart girl with loads of recommendations about everything. She even knew what events were happening that day in the city and how good it was, and thus turned our stop overs at Shillong into amazing city breaks ( from forests of Sohra). She gave us a long list of recommendations for food too and listened to our trek plans in detail and mentioned changes. The place is also adorable and behind pine forests. Dvonne was there to welcome when we arrive. He was very friendly and helpful. After ensuring a smooth checkin he showed us the room and explained about water and appliances. We had to leave early so we couldn't connect but overall the places it really good (like a studio apartment) and cozy.
