The Shady Rest Cottage in historic McCloud

The Shady Rest is an original Mill house built in 1924 for workers at the McCloud Mill. We have tried to keep the rustic charm of the home with the original wood floors and countertops, farmhouse sink, and a clawfoot tub. There is a large fenced yard and a cozy front porch to enjoy the mountain air. It is located at the end of a quiet street .8 miles from HooHoo Park and 1.4 miles from Dance Country or the McCloud Hotel. A short drive gets you to the Ski Park, McCloud Falls, hiking and fishing.

Our house is located in McCloud, nestled on the southern slope of majestic Mount Shasta, where you can enjoy year-round recreation activities. The historic McCloud downtown, where you find unique dining and shopping venues, is within walking distance. You can easily access Mt. Shasta Ski Park for winter sports and McCloud Falls for summer excursion. Enjoy the fully fenced backyard perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet! Left of the residence & attached to the workshop your studio awaits your arrival. The park like setting patio has beautiful mountain views. The welcome book will be your guide to close by Siskiyou Lake activities w/ hiking, biking, golf & restaurants. It is 2 miles to town. Turn left up the driveway to your Cozy Studio.
