Vacation rentals with beach access in Mendocino County

Wonderful stay at Mary and Glen’s place, great view, very attentive and great recommendations!

We felt very comfortable staying in this studio! It was a warm and quiet night here. I would like to specially recommend one point: It has a wonderful view of the pier by the lakeshore! If it is a sunny day, we can even imagine catching the sunrise!

Great spot right on the lake! The place is incredibly spacious and well-equipped. Not walkable to much other than the lake, but very convenient to get places by car. The lake view from the deck was lovely. Honestly was a perfect studio that could be a great for a long term stay too.

All I can say is wow, what a perfect stay we had at The Guest Nest! Kerry's place is beautiful, inside and out - spotlessly clean, well thought out, cozy and spacious. Lots of light during the day, and the fireplace kept us warm at night. The views from the windows, porches & garden are amazing, from the garden, to the grounds with the deer grazing, to the ocean. Absolutely fantastic neighborhood as well...Caspar Headlands and Caspar Beach are an easy walk, and they're both gorgeous. Last but certainly not least, Kerry was an amazing host - extremely helpful, kind and communicative. If I ever find myself in the Mendocino area again (which I hope to!), I would absolutely love to stay in The Guest Nest again, just an amazing place/host!

There were a few (very minor) things, ex a small hole in the comforter, but otherwise it was a great stay!

We had such a lovely time at Heidi’s spot - I wish we could have stayed for longer! I was especially impressed by how thoughtfully and thoroughly Heidi had equipped the house - even swimming towels, dog biscuits, beach towels, not to mention the perfectly cooking-ready kitchen. The apartment was creatively and tastefully decorated, and the surroundings beautiful and peaceful.

Wonderful spot right on the lake. Next door to a free boat ramp. 4 minute drive to a bunch of restaurants and parks. Also the inside was all newly remodeled, very modern kitchen and bathroom. Will likely be coming back.

This is one of those places that is even better than the pictures, and the pictures looked amazing. The house was extremely clean and well stocked with anything you could need. The property and outdoor areas were pristine and relaxing. The dogs loved the fully fenced yard and I felt safe letting them out to run around and explore. And to top it off it was a short walk to the ocean and a beautiful state park with very few other people around.

I stayed here with a group of 10, and we had an amazing time. The house has a unique design and is set in a beautifully peaceful location. There's a stream that runs through the backyard that's super fun for kayaking. Nancy and Sam, the hosts, were incredibly kind and responsive. Nancy gave us a full tour of the house and even showed us how to use the fireplace. We’d absolutely love to stay here again!

Absolutely love staying at Lisa's Penthouse!!! We try to get up to Mendocino as often as possible and this is the only place we will stay. It's truly relaxing in every way. Once the car is parked, it isn't touched again until departure day. The town is so walkable. All the trailheads are super accessible. Love the Harvest Market. The restaurants are fabulous. To us, it's the Carmel of the north without the crowds. It's a special place as is The Penthouse. Be back soon!!!

It was a pleasure staying at Jon & Monique’s beach house. The house was right on the beach adjacent to highway 1 with great scenic views from all the rooms. The house was well stocked and we had everything we needed. Great place for a weekend getaway that’s not too far from Bay Area.

This was our second stay at this beautiful Manchester home and it did not disappoint. It is perfect for a quiet getaway on the beautiful Mendocino coast. The home is lovely, spacious, clean, and has spectacular views of the ocean. A private beach is a 3 min drive or 15 min walk away. The house has everything you need to stay comfortably and it's very easy to unwind and relax while staring out the huge picture windows at God's creation. This area of Manchester is remote with very few options for nearby restaurants and services. That is what makes this so wonderful - you truly are out of the fray and can easily unplug from the world (but yes, there is high speed internet in the house). Just don't expect to make a quick run to Starbucks - the nearest is about a 45 minute drive each way. We love this home and will definitely stay again. Couldn't ask for a more perfect place to get away for a long weekend or quiet retreat with the family.

This home is decorated so beautifully, and the kitchen is very well appointed. They really thought of everything, even providing crab cracking tools! The decor is thoughtfully artistic and eclectic, exactly the vibe I'm looking for when staying in Mendo. The hosts were easy to communicate with and very supportive. The views are incredible. I would absolutely consider renting this place again.

The pictures don’t do this the spot justice! It’s when you’re there, that you actually get to take it all in, see the beauty of your surroundings, and being able to sit down on the deck and become completely immersed. It was cozy and quiet, and the soundtrack of the waves crashing against the sea stacks was calming. The kitchen was well stocked with condiments and cookware. The fireplace was more than enough to heat the entire place and stayed warm well after the fire went out until the next morning. There are plenty of amazing restaurants just 10 minutes down the road. We couldn’t have asked for a more cozier space, beautiful view, and super helpful host. Looking forward to going back again!

We spent the Labor Day weekend here. The house was great - clean and enough spaces for 2 families. The house was at the channel of the clear lake- basically at the entrance of the lake. We brought our inflatable SUP boards and had a great time going into the lake and go look at the houses in the channel. Our kids had a great time in the yard. The kitchen is fully equipped and enough seating for all of us. Definitely recommended!
