Vacation rentals with breakfast in Mendocino County

Diane’s cottage was the perfect get away in the woods! It’s close to amazing hikes and is the perfect peaceful setting. Her art adorns the cottage and adds a special touch. Diane greeted us warmly and gave us many excellent recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Highly recommend!

Amazing Cabin. Peter is extremely friendly and suggested lots to do. I picked the cabin because we really just wanted to relax/disconnect somewhere beautiful-not feel pressured to do too much since we already live in San Francisco- and this place did not disappoint. The place is even cuter in person, lots of natural light and so many beautiful interior details. It’s got old rustic charm but also all the amenities. The wood burning stove was cozy. Sooo many stars at night that you can gaze at from bed! I’m rambling at this point. This place was awesome. Thank you Peter!

Lovely house surrounded by redwoods. Feels like you’re really escaping the city and going to a fairy tale forest. A lot of unique aspects I highly appreciate such as the wood stove, the double-high ceiling in the main room and the loft. Also they were generous and went out of the way to make us feel at home like the breakfast items, plenty of firewood, comfortable checkin/checkout times etc.

We had a wonderful relaxing 3 nights at the Hummingbird haven. Loved the delicious breakfast treats, comfy bed and stunning gardens. It was so peaceful and just what we needed to reset and recharge! Margaret is an amazing host and we loved her local recommendations, thank you – we’ll be back!

Unbelievably serene and peaceful working farm, with picture-postcard views wherever you look. Room was just what we needed. Bed incredibly comfortable with plenty of super warm blankets for cold nights. Lovely breakfast was an added bonus. Staff is attentive, friendly and helpful. It is a little bit out-of-the-way, and the drive up to the farm is something of an adventure in-and-of itself, directions provided are exactly correct - don't overthink it, just go with it. As a working farm, it can be dusty as that comes with the territory. Animals were very quiet, so no noises there to worry about. Because of the drive, plan to get what you need before you head up as heading out and back is a time commitment. There is a reasonably well equipped market right at the highway before you make the turn to head up, and The Company Kitchen is an added bonus.

We liked the house and nearby area as it was quiet and peaceful. Unfortunately the rain made everything soggy so we couldn’t be outside as much as we wanted. Overall, Tanya was responsive and pleasant. She made our stay easy and carefree. The snacks and availability of the kitchen made cooking and finding groceries pain free. I would stay here again.

The cottage was super comfy and we felt right at home. There are shops and a great little bakery just a short stroll from the cottage. I’d definitely book with Evan again.

Our stay at Applegate Cottage was fantastic. From checking in to checking out, our stay could not have been better in any way. I cannot add anything to all the other wonderful reviews except to say they are all right on. I have never stayed at an AirB&B so well equipped with anything one could possibly need to make one’s stay more enjoyable and comfortable. Loved the dogs . We will definitely be back to enjoy the cottage, the farm, the dogs, Nancy, and Mendocino.

This place is a hidden gem! We were surprised by how spacious the apartment/townhouse was. It was also super clean, and the staff was really amazing. We had a great time with the kids and I'm definitely considering going back and bringing my father with us, because he loves fishing and this is a fishing paradise!
