Vacation rentals with lake access in Middlesex County

My family and I have rented several homes for vacation over the years, but this home is truly a special place. The property is gorgeous! The views are amazing, and we enjoyed spending many hours taking it all in. Lots of wildlife to observe and the private hiking trail was a great bonus. The house itself was wonderful…a unique mix of history, art, music, and modern technology. Everything was high-end and excellent quality. The bed in the master bedroom was the most comfortable we have ever slept in away from home. The house was extremely clean and had everything you would ever need and plenty of it. We have never seen a vacation house with so many extra linens, toilet paper, Kleenex, coffee, etc. We were so impressed! Hector is an exceptional host, friendly and responsive. His home is incredibly peaceful, a true sanctuary. We are so very grateful that we chose this house for our family vacation. Thank you, Hector!

This was a great location for our family of 7. There were enough beds, good amenities, and it was a great location to get down to the Connecticut River. It was centrally located and we were able to explore many cities in CT due to the location. The hosts were extremely responsive and the home was well-maintained.

This lake house was absolutely beautiful! Brought my girls there as a little get away in preparation for my wedding day. Jhismery was responsive so quickly and so accommodating with some questions I had. Stunning view of the lake and the house had this homey feel to it. I would book it again as a weekend getaway again!

My adult children stayed in Thomas's cottage and it worked out great for us. It was close to our main house and there was plenty of room for them. Unfortunately our stay was in the winter so we couldn't take advantage of the lake area, which is a beautiful area. The house had everything that we needed and we would definitely come back again. Mariza's house was not only beautiful on the inside, but on the outside aswell. We felt very welcome from the moment we stepped foot into her home. We had lots of room for everyone, which was nice. I would highly recommend it!

I highly recommend this property. It was perfect for our Christmas visit with family. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay in East Hampton. We will be back!

I've stayed in a ton of Air Bnbs and can honestly say Kim was the most gracious host I've ever encountered. She left out new craft kids for the kids in our family, was incredibly communicative and responsive, provided a ton of games and activities on-site and even asked what temperature we'd prefer the hot tub. The house was clean and so well-stocked with anything you could need for home cooked meals. The linens and bedding were super comfortable, the fire places were cozy and the bird-watching from the deck was lovely. Can't say enough good things about this stay. Highly recommend!

Mya was an excellent host--extremely responsive, and lives nearby which is a bonus. The house is well stocked with dishes and cutlery, and comfortable. We had a wonderful time celebrating Thanksgiving with local family.

Kevin is a great Host - very responsible and accountable. We fully enjoyed staying his place. He was always willing to help while needed. The AirBnB is clean and has full of required amenities. We left some stuffs while checking out, he communicated quickly and shipped it out very fast. I highly recommend to stay at his place at East Lyme, CT.

Margie’s place is an amazing hidden gem. The inside is very clean and comfortable. The outside is an experience of its own. The lake will drop your blood pressure immediately. Gorgeous surroundings. The dogs are friendly and lovable. We will be back! 👍🏼

Great place to stay, the area was very nice. I would definitely recommend.

My stay was AMAZING! You can really see and feel how the host took time to make the home cozy and beautifully detailed. It was mind blowing to see how every part of the home was utilized without feeling cramped or cluttered. Definitely a great place for friends to come together. I was shocked to see how well the entire home was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The host provided superb comfort and convenience. Pictures do no justice for this zen home, you have to experience it in person. If you’re looking for a tranquil and beautiful place to visit; LOOK NO FURTHER!

This was a great place to stay. Jeri was a wonderful host - responsive, kind, warm, and friendly. The place was beautiful, and all the amenities made the stay very pleasant. Fresh eggs and cream in the fridge, along with chickens right outside really set this place apart. Wonderful place, wonderful stay, amazing host.

Ricardo’s place was truly incredible. It’s such a cozy, clean and convenient spot located in a very good area. Had everything you need and have a very home-like feel. I was visiting my girlfriend for our anniversary and the weather wasn’t the greatest outside but that didn’t bother us one bit. We were comfortable cooking and eating at home and we had everything to make that happen. Ricardo and his wife were so kind and flexible with us. We would love to come back in the summertime and fully enjoy their spot again because there are great views in the backyard by the water. Well worth the price of admission. Thank you Ricardo and family. We will definitely be back if you’ll have us! Cheers 🥂

The house was perfect. I felt right at home. Beautiful views. 5 min from town and my family. A view of East Hampton I have never seen. Host was easy to get a hold of. It was a home away from home. I plan to stay again if available when i need it.

Had a really wonderful time here for my friends’ trip. Kimberly was a communicative and amazing host, and the cottage was clean and well-stocked. The location is also perfect if you are hoping to enjoy some peace and relaxation, with nearby parks and trails available for exploration.

What a beautiful weekend in a beautiful, cozy space! We felt immediately at home. The view from the cottage is even more stunning than the pictures. You can tell Donna really cares about this space by all the little touches and details. It was spotlessly clean and the couch is so comfortable! We loved sitting out on the deck by the fire pit and enjoying the fall foliage. Nearby Chester, CT was a trip highlight for us as well. We’d love to make a repeat visit!

Great place !!! Big spacious floor plan and fit all of us very comfortably while keeping us all under one roof. The games that were at the home were a bonus !!! If we ever come back we will stay again

We very much enjoyed our stay on Amston Lake! We are always looking for comfortable places for our 3 person family to stay near relatives in Colchester CT. Amos' place fit the bill! The beds were comfortable, the amenities perfectly met our needs and the home was very comfortable. My only regret is that we were out visiting most of the time and did not get to spend enough time enjoying the beautiful lake and natural surroundings! We are likely to return.

Karl was very responsive and great to work with. I live locally and my family came to visit. He allowed me to bring some kayaks over before the check in time which was very nice and helpful. The linens weren't on the beds which was a bummer as my family got in at 1am and we had to make all of the beds at that time, but otherwise the house is perfect. Lots of outdoor seating areas, beautiful dock, fantastic kitchen, very kind neighbors, etc. I will definitely recommend this to friends and family and will stay again.

Aaron’s place went above and beyond when it came to our needs for accessibility. The place was perfectly fit for a person who needs those extra. little things from a ramp to get it, to a shower that can accommodate a shower chair. The beds were super comfy and we had great nights sleep every time.

The home was exactly what we needed for our couple of days there. If we return to the area it would be worthwhile planning for a few more days to enjoy the lake and the area.
