Monthly Rentals in Midtown Manhattan

Great extended stay here - very nicely furnished/decorated, quiet building, and location can't be beat. Some small issues with maintenance going on but Hilary was quick to respond and take care of things. Feels just like you're living in your own place in NYC. Proper one bedroom, felt pretty spacious and has a very nice kitchen if you care to cook. Would definitely recommend.

Nat and his team were extremely helpful and nice. The instructions were clear. Great value for money, all things considered (sharing bathrooms was much less of a problem than what I first thought, because you have many of them available). Sam, the building superintendent, was always kind and available. The neighborhood is pretty expensive, but you are in walking distance from great places.

I had a wonderful time. I was in New York City for about 6 weeks over a 2.5 month period and rented the room for the entire time. The building was a spectacular 150 year old Brownstone in a wonderful neighborhood in the mid-/upper-east side. It was a relatively quite neighborhood and was easy to get around the entire city. The Rear Library room had great ambiance, was clean, and was a perfect place for this relatively short term stay. Lia, the owner was accommodating and very helpful when I planned the trip and during my stay. If I every have a similar need for a rental in New York City, I will stay at 1871 House again.

Very attentive, responsive, helpful, and great host. I was cold during a bout of chilly weather and Ignacio immediately ordered me a space heater that came the next day. Had a great stay and recommend especially to solo travelers
