A great location with a very nice host and hostess. In the evening it is cozy in the bar and makes the hostess delicious dishes. The owners' children were very nice and curious and could practice their English for a while 😉 It's lovely and quiet at night. During the day you can rent nice and good bikes for a good price from the owner. By bike, the beautiful and impressive Aoshima can be reached in a few minutes. And if you like golf surfing, this is the placebo to be anyway. We would love to come back to Kyushu in general and Miyazaki in particular.

It was a more luxurious house than the photos!I enjoyed playing simulated golf, sauna, and barbecue, but especially the sauna was great because the temperature went up to 110 degrees! I will use it again when I play golf in Miyazaki. Thank you for telling us about the butcher shop you recommended.

Located south of Miyazaki City, the place is a free-standing house with mountains on one side and nearby rice paddies on the other. Though it's a bit far from the stations or busses, it's about 20-25m walk from the Nichinan line. There is a large supermarket (Aeon) within 15m walk, however. There is plenty of hiking either in mountains or to the extensive coastline near the Undokoen sports complex area or to Aoshima with its unique geological formations. The house has a large kitchen with a 3-burner stovetop and grill, a large sized refrigerator, kitchen table and chairs, a 'L' shaped couch and TV, along with a good sized bathroom. As a bonus, there is even a dryer, which is incredibly rare in Japan, especially at this price. Seasonings and oil are also available for cooking. You can sleep on the floor in either a Japanese style room (tatami) or Western style (hardwood). There is also a large deck outside. Tatsuya is laid-back and personable. Would highly recommend.

Great place, spacious and convenient location. Mika was fantastic, so helpful and guided us to some eating gems. Place is well set up for a surf base, with everything you need, including bikes with surf racks! Definitely returning..see you next time!

We loved our time here at the lodge. The place itself is a beautiful log cabin, with a serene little garden. We felt so comfortable and at ease at the place. It was also a stone throws away from many cool restaurants, cafes, and a fancy grocer. It's also only a few minutes from the beach. would definitely stay again

We really enjoyed our time at Tim’s apartment. The apartment itself is perfect for two people - it’s quiet, comfortable, and has a relaxing vibe. The location is central and perfect for exploring the surrounding natural wonders. Highly recommend eating some delicious deserts at the family run cafe downstairs too. Tim also provided us with great recommendations for visiting Sakurajima and other nearby areas. We’d gladly stay here again in the future!

The place is very nice, I really enjoyed the guesthouse, Mrs. Yokohama Tomomi was very friendly. The only downside was for travel, few restaurants nearby and the city was quite far away. The sea was still beautiful and it's a perfect place for surfers!

Anyway, the owner is friendly, kind and bright!The stranger children were immediately nostalgic. The room is also beautiful, the futon is fluffy, and everything is clean. There were three toilets inside and outside, so it was good not to wear them with other people. There was also a washer and dryer! In addition, there is a frying pan, pot, kettle, knife, cutting board, frying pan, etc. in the common area, so I was able to bring and make ingredients.I brought a lot of water bottles with my family, so it was good that I wanted to bring tea and put it in! I would recommend an entire room for a family. Kanagahama was also just a short walk away, Kokura Beach was also short, and it was easy to access Tochinomachi! There were murals outside as if they were in a surfing pipe and a surfboard to ride before, and the kids enjoyed the shoot. Thank you for a wonderful time!

This place is perfect of families and friends looking to stay in Aoshima. There are lots of activities provided by the host, though you need to inform them first. We especially enjoy the ping-pong table! All necessities were provided and we felt right at home. Highly recommended this place!

New place to stay

【New Open】Center of Miyazaki, easy to access, 97㎡.

This Airbnb was absolutely lovely- just as pictured! Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully prepared. Kana was very responsive and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. A big plus was having a washer/dryer in the house! The location was also very convenient, with many stores and restaurants just a short drive away. One thing to note: it's best to have a small car, as the driveway is quite narrow and can be challenging to navigate with a larger vehicle. Highly recommend!
