Always a nice place to stay

Craig, Neneth and their son Dan were a joy. They were helpful in making our stay comfortable. Their kindness and warmth were what made our stay so special. Our family came frazzled by city noise and left as better human beings! We loved having complete freedom to roam the beautiful woods and cook at the fire pit. The property has a nice combination of ungroomed woods and groomed trails. We got to go on the lake and keep company with so many birds. Thank you so much, Craig, Neneth and Dan!

This was our 2nd stay. Very cozy and cute little place! Hosts are amazing! Great communication and truly care about their guests. We will be back.

Our party ranged in age 70, to middle age, to 13 and 7 and whether you are a casual family looking to unplug, a history buff, a supernatural seeker, or just looking for a unique stay this place has everything for everyone. You can tell a lot of effort was put into the thoughtful design to maintain the history of the place but still make it feel welcoming and at home and not like a museum where you were afraid to enjoy the space. The balance of keeping antique features like the stove, bathroom, and skeleton key lock along with hidden modern amenities like the cool design of the frig and phenomenal wifi access helped you feel like part of the history of the place without sacrificing comfort, accessibility, and style. Our kids didn't know what to expect before arriving but by the end of the stay, they preferred to be at the house exploring and playing than to go out on the excursions we had planned. I travel extensively, this is one of the best experiences you can find. It is a MUST STAY!
