It is conveniently located just 3 stops from Kyoto Station (about 13 minutes by ride), but it is not crowded, so you can spend quietly avoiding the crowds.Easy access to major tourist attractions in Osaka, Kyoto, and Shiga (Fushimi Inari 35 minutes/Uji 45 minutes/Gion 40 minutes, Osaka 46 minutes).Close to the world cultural heritage of Enryaku-ji Temple, Omi Shrine, and Hiyoshi Taisha Shrine, you can also walk around the lake while enjoying Japanese cultural heritage such as Karasaki Shrine and Sakamoto Castle Ruins within walking distance. Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.
