I definitely recommend this beautiful and cozy cottage with a thermal pool, surrounded by beautiful Icelandic nature. The owners were always very friendly and helpful 😊

This house was the perfect stay for our group of 3. The location was great! Easily walkable to shops, bars, museums and restaurants. Parking was right out front and it’s free on nights/weekends.

Beautiful, clean, well maintained home in a convenient location close to all the Golden Circle highlights. The view from the living room is very scenic. Steini was a very responsive and communicative host. We had a great winter stay at this home.

It has to be said as strongly as possible: this is one of the best listings you'll ever find. The cliche about photos not doing justice to things is correct in this case: you'll actually have 365 degree views, much more impressive than you might guess. Two things other reviewers may not have mentioned: 1. We stayed in winter. Check in and check out correspond fairly closely to dawn and dusk, meaning that if you stay one day you get only twilight and darkness. 2. The long bookshelf, visible in several pictures, contains one of the most impressive collections I have ever seen, mainly books on travel in Iceland, in various languages, including a mid-19th century manuscript and two 18th c. volumes. I could have stayed all year reading those. The smaller set of bookshelves in the master bedroom (which do not quite conceal the toilet just beyond!) are from a different world: they include Sotheby's catalogues from the 2010s and other books that complement the excellent art on the walls.

We had an incredible time at this location. The host was very responsive and very kind. I will return someday!

The house is as beautiful as the surroundings. The furniture and finishings were beautifully crafted and very comfortable. You had the convenience of being in a small town to grab a bite to eat or run down to the store for a few groceries, but you also the breathtaking landscape views Iceland is known for. This was a wonderful place to stay and when we go back, we will be checking this listing first to see if it's available!

Extremely well stocked with supplies and all sorts of gadgets and home comforts. Christmas decorations and a small gift for each of the children along with a bottle and chocolates were such a thoughtful and nice touch as we were staying over Christmas Day. Just bear in mind it’s a tourist attraction so if you don’t lock the door you may get an unexpected visitor. We really enjoyed our stay. Lots of character and very homely.

What’s an absolutely beautiful family home . We felt right at home here . so much that I didn’t want to come back home to England :( very spacious decorated lovely . It was the middle of winter and it was extremely warm for us as well. It was decorated beautifully with Christmas decorations and lots of treats left for us . Thankyou nothing was a problem . looked after the family Cat who was absolutely delightful And no trouble at all . Very close to everything supermarket round the corner, got everywhere very easy was really sad to leave. Would definitely love to come back one day. Thankyou so much xxx

Perfect house for a group of friends. We spent New Years Eve there and loved it. We even had the luck to see a massive aurora on New Years Eve which made the place even more magical :-) We enjoyed the hot tub, the quiet location and the great kitchen and living room. Beds were comfy, too. Only thing was that the instructions for the hot tub werent up to date and it took a little until we solved it. Other than that everything was perfect :-)

Hrafn's home was a great place to stay for our first visit to Iceland. Centrally located in Reykjavik, just minutes from the downtown area.

Excellent place that wasn’t too far from Selfoss which has some nice restaurants. The house was perfect and we felt right at home there

Sara and Rabbi are excellent, proactive hosts- who, with any issue or question, went out of their way to assist and solve problems. This home is extraordinary, nestled in uncompromisingly beautiful, natural surroundings and is truly such a special place. It can accommodate a large group, but we were 4 singles and found it was rather perfect considering the number of bathrooms and showers. The beds were super comfortable for European standards (a joy!), the kitchen was well-stocked and we felt so at home. The hot tub is natural, so be mindful there may be some algae floaties. And watching the Aurora from the many viewpoints throughout the property was an unforgettable experience. I hope to bring my kids and husband here soon, but until next time I’ll be seeing this place in my dreams often, I’m sure!

Sigurdur was an amazing host! He welcomed us and showed us how everything works. His home is more beautiful than the pictures and extremely clean. He made us feel right at home! Got a chance to see the northern lights from the sauna and the hut tub was beyond relaxing! We had a wonderful and memorable stay

AMAZING!!! Runar’s place was even better than we could have imagined. The Northern Lights were extremely visible to the naked eye 3 of the 4 nights we stayed. The back deck was lovely to watch Aurora dance in the sky. The furniture and bed (we only used 1 of the 4) were extremely clean and comfortable! To our surprise, the bathroom floor was heated, which was a lovely touch! We absolutely loved our stay here. It was extremely peaceful and secluded but also so close to town. We have already started talking coming back to Iceland and staying here again. It is the perfect home in the perfect location on the Golden Circle.

This by far is one of the best accommodations I have had with Air BnB. The hot tub and sauna along with gorgeous views of the mountains and fiord were outstanding. The kitchen was fully stocked and wood provided for the fireplace indoors and in the sauna. The home was impeccable- lots of room - warm and cozy.

The location is idyllic with the most amazing views, Inga is a wonderful host, really helpful and friendly and the house itself is stunning, really clean and comfortable with everything you need for a once in a lifetime stay! Sabine is a super nice and accommodating host. The home has met expectations in all areas. We felt completely comfortable! The hot tub was great for relaxing after a busy day. Even a grill was there. Sandra was super responsive and was sweet enough to bring over some of her labels and sew them on her beautiful sheep hats. It was a pleasure getting to meet Sandra and stay at her place. And especially sweet to see pictures of her family and needlepoint/cross stitch made by relatives.
