It's recommended for those who want to get away from the crowds and leisurely enjoy Nagano's nature and historic towns. Drive to various places during the day. When you return to the inn, relax in the two types of sauna and the water bath. In the evening, relax in a warm room and enjoy the quiet time of the countryside. This is an entire building rental that can accommodate up to 12 people, but it is also recommended for couples or small groups staying for multiple nights. There is also a washing machine and bathroom dryer, making it comfortable even for stays of 3 nights or more. Every day, I go to a different place, such as Hakuba, Matsumoto, Narai-juku, Togakushi, Azumino, Omachi, and even Hida Takayama. In the evening, I return to the same inn and relax in the sauna to relieve my fatigue. Please use it as a base for a leisurely trip to Nagano. You can also come by public transportation, but having a car is more convenient. Free pick-up and drop-off is available at Shinano Matsukawa Station and Meisha Station.Other transfers and sightseeing transfers are available for ¥2,000 to ¥8,000 (return) within 2 hours one-way.Please contact us in advance for groups of 5 or more. It is hidden in the forest, but just a few minutes from Hakuba's ski resorts and cafes. We provide pick-up and drop-off services to and from Hakuba Station and the Happo Bus Terminal. Location Opened in May 2024. Located in the heart of Takayama's historic district, Makoto-ya Ojin is a stylish inn in 1-chome, Ojin-cho, Takayama City, where the good old Japanese landscape remains. In front of our house, which is sandwiched between the Hida-Buri Highway that connects the former Toyama and Takayama, there are the Nissho-bu Mingei Kan and the Yoshima residence, which are important cultural properties that show the rich cultural assets of Japan, and this area is designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings. You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. The festival stall in this area is called Hōmeita, and it has a variety of decorations such as a palanquin and sculptures (1-minute walk to the stall). Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano Town, which is blessed with forests, lakes and snow in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture, and there are many natural places such as Kurohime Kogen, Lake Nojiri and Togakushi nearby. You can freely use the comfortable building renovated with natural materials such as cedar, cypress, and plaster, the natural garden that creates seasonal views, and the forest where the stream flows.In the forest that we have been maintaining, you can see birds, squirrels, and raccoons, and you can enjoy strolling around looking for wild vegetables and mushrooms, as well as swings and hammocks. Here, you won't find the services of a luxurious hotel or activities to fill every moment of your time. What you get instead is the slow passage of time in a 150-year-old house and the "space" to spend time in Hida's natural surroundings. Gather around the table with family and loved ones. Enjoy the wood stove sauna and the water bath with a view. There are no private houses around, so you can listen to music and watch movies loudly. Because it is a house located deep in the mountains, we take the best measures, but in the warm season, insects come out. It snows a lot in winter. In autumn, fallen leaves dance. You will also need to adjust the wood stove fire yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but we promise you a great view and experience.
