Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Mount Vernon

Scott's place was perfect for our small family's ski trip! It was exactly as pictured, had everything we needed for our stay, and was so close to Sunday River (~10 minutes) and right down the road from restaurants in Bethel Village. We would love to stay again on our next ski trip!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Samantha's place in Cushing. To say that she is "very responsive" would be an understatement. She typically responded within 10 minutes no matter what my question was. She lives a short distance away which really helped facilitate things. We had a minor issue with the Internet which required communication with the service provider, but she coordinated everything and resolved it right away. The house is totally charming - old, a bit creaky and adorable - and well maintained (no issues there). We imagined how great it would be to visit in wintertime and snuggle up to a roaring fire. They have an expansive yard with gardens great for a short evening stroll. Forest habitat behind the property was great for bird watching. The area is absolutely beautiful - quintissential coastal Maine. The Olson House (local attraction) is a few minutes drive from the house. The grounds have a walking trail along the water with fantastic views of the coast.

We had such a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The space was warm, cozy, and incredibly relaxing—exactly what we were looking for. The hot tub and sauna were absolute highlights, perfect for the relaxation we were looking for.. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the cooking spices and essentials we needed, which made it so easy to prepare meals without having to run to the store. You can tell a lot of thought and care went into making this place feel like home. We can’t wait to come back!

This is a perfect place to have a great time with your loved one, very comfortable , spacious and easy to access, the house is clean and and had everything we needed, I recommend for everyone, I loved our stay at the house.

Second stay at the farm house. Two weeks this time. We just love it here. Plenty of space yet cozy, everything you need, lovely outdoors space. We enjooed watching the chickens, dicks and horse next door. I wish we could stay for months. Thank you, Amy and family!

We had an amazing time over valentines day weekend. There was a snow storm and Kent snow blowed around our vehicle to make sure we could get out. The house is very comfortable and peaceful, amazing view of the river and just off the road enough to not be bothered by passing traffic. Definitely recommend!!!!

The home was very welcoming and accommodating for our family of 5. The views were spectacular at sunrise, sunset and during the snowstorm. Bald Eagles and hawks would land in the trees right in front of the house. Also, there was a skating pond down the street my family love to visit almost each evening. There was an alarm going off as soon as we arrived, Debbi was incredibly fast responding and sending someone to check it out clear it up. On the plus someone came and plowed the driveway after the snowstorm it was great. She left a basket of local food and my family ate it up. We are so thankful for our relaxing week and would love to return.

We had a wonderful stay at this Maine house--Barb, the property manager was incredibly responsive, helped with a heating issue while we were there and had the repairs done same day--The house was well equipped with everything you need for a family getaway at the beach! puzzles and games galore, kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed for family meals (including lobster cooking essentials--bibs, crackers, steam pots) Great little fire pit out front which we enjoyed, and fenced in back yard area so pets or kids can be safely contained :) Linens, towels, all clean and provided--truly a wonderful home away from home, perfect for our family trip to the beach!

My family and I had another great stay at Kathleen’s. We arrived and were so grateful for a clean and comfortable stay. We cooked lobster and were so happy to see that Kathleen’s kitchen had everything we needed. Excited to go back a third time!

Marie met me at the door to greet me as I arrived early. I was only there for one night but felt right at home. the apartment is spacious, clean, nicely set up, has a nice view of the nearby pond, and is in walking distance to main Street. perfect spot for a stay in town.

This sweet apartment was a true haven during a challenging time for our family. It was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed—just what we needed while navigating medical appointments nearby. Great listing in Waterville. Wife and I stayed here while I worked as a lecturer for Colby College. The space is clean and cozy, it was perfect for what we needed.

I stayed for 2 nights and had a great weekend. The apartment is the bottom floor of a 2-unit house but it was quiet, VERY clean, and a large space. There's one review on here from 2024 that had several negative criticisms, that must be a one time thing or a bad tenant bc my friends and I had a perfect experience. The apartment is a 5 minute walk through a family friendly neighborhood to the main drag. Brunswick is basically a 1-mile road with everything within 10 minutes. We loved parking the car and only using it for a trip to get games from the goodwill. But we walked comfortably to dinner, diners, drinks, and the Hannaford.**The location is perfect and convenient, worth staying here exclusively just for the easy walk everywhere!!**** Bring books/ games, as there's none. Bedrooms are comfortable and got warm quickly. Plenty of clean and thick bedding. The 10am check-out time, and 4pm check-in was the only inconvenience. Would have liked to check in sooner. Had a wonderful stay!

This was our second stay at the Cottrell House. The location can’t be beat. It’s nestled off the main street with access to the river while within easy walking to stores and restaurants. The apartment is quiet and clean. Lissette is a wonderful host.

We had a wonderful stay. The condo was exactly as stated...homey and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with all your cooking needs except for a large stock pan. I did inquire about a large stock pan for cooking pasta...and got a quick response however, they didn't know if there was one so, I brought my own. There was a good supply of paper towels and toilet paper. I always pack extra and didn't have to use any. It stated in the linens that they supplied pool towels so, we didn't bring our own. There weren't any pool towels... we just used the shower towels...there were plenty of them. We loved all the hooks on the walls as we hung all our skiing gear and shower towels etc. The mattress on the pull out couch needs to be replaced...the kids said they could feel the springs. We were a little disappointed that there was only one parking pass as they recently changed the parking policy's. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay at this ski in ski out condo, perfect for a long weekend. Super nice that it was dog friendly. Having access to ski locker was convenient. Had just what we needed in kitchen. Sofa bed was just ok, and I think an upgrade on the sheets would be welcome but those things are minor. We would love to stay here again and again.

Enjoying your morning coffee, starring off at the Mountain View, should be a everyday thing. It’s just a great way to start the day. Despite a minuscule miscommunication between the cleaner and host prior to our arrival. A one off. The place was lovely and we would recommend. Great for an intimate / close group of friends / family of 6 like many reviews said. But if you really want to make it work, 8 people can fit. Manageable with one bathroom. In emergencies the indoor pool has changing rooms with extra restrooms. Some who finds stairs difficult, should be aware it is on a third floor walk up. So plan to pack light. There are lockers on the first floor for skis/snowboards storage. The slopes are walking distances right across from the parking lot. Easy to hop on and off trail (Bunny slope steepness) down to the lifts, very good for beginners. Kitchen fully stocked. Balcony was a plus to dry gear. Dog friendly. Really it has everything we needed. Great location.

This is the second time staying at Debi's Rangeley Lake Condo. It is a perfect location to stay if you're skiing at Saddleback or just exploring the area. Debi is very responsive to any questions. The condo is comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to have dinner at "home". When we're in the area, we would definitely stay here again.

She made cookies the moment we checked in and delivered them to us with warm milk. Wonderful host with great knowledge of the beautiful Pemaquid region

The ski in ski out at Pleasant Mountain is hard to beat for families. The hosts were super responsive and our party of 8 had a great time.

Great location between southridge and north peak express with a view of the southway trail that passes between buildings 1 and 2.

Overall, our stay was great! Super nice to be right on the mountain. Cozy little apartment, the pull out couch is not too bad, but for the value of the apartment it was worth it! Quiet building and neighbors, we had a great time and will absolutely be back! Did not use the pool or hot tub, but it looked nice. Apartment was fully stocked, except tissues, but not a big deal. Liz was extremely responsive and helpful!
