Nishimura Residence is an old-fashioned Nara-machiya that has been standing on a piece of Nara-machi for more than 100 years. ここは、ぼくが子どもの頃、長い時間を過ごした「おばあちゃんち」でした。 奈良町には、ずっと変わらない心地よい鄙(ひな)びがあります。 「これからの世代に、少しでもこの心地よい鄙(ひな)びにふれて欲しい。」 そんな想いで、空き家になっていた西村邸を、手入れしました。 - Nishimura-Tei is originally a traditional Japanese house which has been here in Nara-machi town over 100 years, where my grandmother used to live in. My mother and I decided to renovate this house to preserve and pass down the virtue of good old days in Japan to the next generation as well as to show it to you.

Please use our kitchen for simple cooking. The nearest stations are Oji Station on the JR Line and Goido Station on the Kintetsu Line. I'll come pick you up until 5pm. Please use the bus to return home. There is a bus stop nearby. If you are arriving by car, there is parking available on site. From Oji station: 15 minutes to Nara, 18 minutes to Osaka, 1 and a half hour to Kyoto, 1 and a half hour to Kobe, Mt. Koya and Yoshino are also not far away. Hotel business license number 71703003

A newly renovated machiya town house with typical layout and a small garden, retaining the tradition of Naramachi - the old merchant town of Nara. Easy access via bus and train, supermarket, restaurants, convenience store, bakery, and a Japanese bath house just minutes away. This house belonged to a famous wood carver of "ittobori" - a traditional Nara technique of carving the wood. A projector and a record player will make your stay even more pleasant. Enjoy!

An unattended check-in system is available for check-in. The hotel also provides high quality amenities. Rooms are very comfortable and offer a bit of luxury. This house is a great location, about a 7-minute walk from JR Nara Station, and about a 10-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Station and Shin-Omiya Station. There is a Lawson convenience store a 1-minute walk from the house, which is very convenient. Nara Park is about a 15-minute walk. From Nara Station, you can get to Osaka and Kyoto in about 40-50 minutes without changing trains. One car can park for free.

Our guesthouse is located in the old town called Nara-machi. There used to be many traditional wooden townhouses known as Machiya. We restored Machiya while keeping the original structure in order to provide you with a traditional Japanese experience with local atmosphere.This house is for only private use and has only one floor with Japanese style room, shower room, washroom, sink and small garden.
