Come enjoy the quiet of the country, only 15 minutes south of town. Stunning views of the La Plata Mountains and dark night skies for great star-gazing! Nice area for cycling and walking. Many of our neighbors have donkeys, horses, llamas and goats, chicken and sheep. No cigarette smoking but we are 420 friendly (outside only please!). We are a safe place for women travelers. There is a very friendly Labrador Retriever and a Basset Hound that live on this property but not allowed in the apt.

Strawbale Cottage

Staying in a Strawbale home is a special experience! The thick adobe walls create a cozy and warm feeling that a traditional stick built home just can’t. Enjoy the vaulted ceilings, heated floors, new appliances and natural sunlight. Backyard, fire pit and gas grill as well as outdoor eating space. The view from the kitchen looks out on a private pond and local historic (retired) Rio Grande Railroad bridge. Some scenes from the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid were shot by this bridge!

We are close to the airport and hospital in the southern agricultural area of town. The apartment is very private, with ample parking; trailers welcome.

Le Chalet is a perfect getaway if you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing retreat. Enjoy our wrap around porch equipped with tons of seating, a big table to enjoy meals with the family and a lovely fire pit for some smores. The san Juan river is 200 yards away, Navajo even enjoy the Durango Hot Springs or do some shopping in Farmington with a nice 45-60 min drive. Great fishing both at the river and lake plus tons of water sports. also a great winery only minutes away.

A fishing trip with friends, or a get away with the family we can handle it. For the equestrian, horse stalls will be available, as well as access to 1,000's of acres of public BLM to ride on. This quaint 2 bedroom 2 bath ranch style house is cozy. Ample parking for trailers.
