Approximately 10 mins from M5 junction 23 a perfect stop to spend a night or more exploring nearby surroundings, or attending a wedding nearby, or to break up a long journey. Quantock Hills are a 10min drive. Bridgwater train station 20 to 30 mins walk. Walking distance to the town centre, supermarkets and public transport. Adults only. In the Somerset countryside, the Stableblock is part of Gothelney Farm - a family run farm, focusing on producing food for people that is mindful of both their health & the health of our ecosystem & climate. The fields around the Stableblock are home to our pasture-fed rare breed pigs & also grow cereals used by local bakers, including at the Field Bakery - situated just next to the Stableblock! We hope that being at the heart of the Farm adds to your experience whilst staying with us.

On the stone flagged terrace is a wood-fired jacuzzi hot tub and al fresco seating for dining with a firepit and grill.

Cassia is a bespoke Shepherds Hut, constructed August 2021. Situated on Stockland marshes perfect for walking and bird watching , a quiet retreat to get away from it all. The coast is five minutes drive away. This area boasts one of the UK’s largest new wetland reserves, providing habitat for a mix of wetland wildlife, including otters, wildfowl, owls and waders, migrating birds are an attraction and varied wildlife including dear can often be spotted.
