Notch Hostel - The Carter room (Private)

The Carter Room is a small private room at the Notch Hostel, a farmhouse-turned-hostel with communal bathrooms, kitchen, living room. The Carter Room has one full-size bed. 2nd floor, quick access to common areas. Shared bathrooms are located down the hall. Minimum 2-night stay on weekends. Dog-friendly room. We limit # of dogs on site per night. You must ask if we have space before booking with a dog. $20/dog/night. Dogs must be leashed at all times, may not be left unattended in the room.

It is also a favorite for cyclist If you want a clean/welcoming bed with no frills, this might be the place for you. Other Air BNB guests and owners use the shared bath lounge and kitchen. There is ample street parking in front of the building, but winter snow plowing is restricted. The owner has cats that roam the building.

003 Private Rm 3 single bed, Art Gallery Hostel

This private room w/locking door features a single twin bed only for one person. Doubling up is not allowed in this room. It’s located directly adjacent to the TV lounge common area and convenient to a bathroom. Features a shared lounge, and kitchen used by other Air BNB guests. The host has a cat that lives in the hostel. All other amenities in the common area are shared. Hiker, skier, college and graduate students, international, and conversationalist love this place.

Ring Dang Doo Hostel

Our Bunk House Hostel sits on the West Shore of Lake Champlain. We are on the Island Line Bike Path. You can bike to Beautiful Down Town Burlington, Day trip to Stowe, Jay Peak, or Montreal! This is a shared space! We also have separate listings for two private rooms that sleep 2 in queen beds under Ring Dang Doo and Ring Dang Doo Lake View. Please contact Host if booking for more than 1 person. Offer will be sent. The Bunk House is a seasonal unheated space.

Romp of Otters at the Acorn

The Acorn is part of the 60 acre, 137 year old Oakland House property that has been operated as a summer vacation destination since it was opened to guests on July 4th, 1889. Once an ice house and even a casino, the Acorn is a quaintly rustic piece of history we hope you enjoy! Romp of Otters is a private room with one queen bed and is tastefully decorated with antique furnishings. Room is accessed from an exterior staircase off the porch.

Earl Shaffer Room at the Appalachian Trail Hostel

Equipped with two twin beds, this room was Earl Shaffer’s final stay when completing his 50th anniversary hike of the Appalachian Trail. Earl Shaffer, known as the first recorded thru-hiker or “the crazy one,” originally completed the Appalachian Trail in 1948 northbound, followed by a southbound thru-hike in 1965, and one final northbound thru-hike in 1998. Experience history with a stay in this charming space.

This booking is for one bed in a six-person room. The Kehoe room includes three bunk beds and can accommodate up to six guests in a mixed-gender dorm. The number of beds reserved must match the number of guests, as the price is per bed, not for the entire room.
