On the down side are docks, islets and the possibility of swimming, fishing and canoeing. Other; Sommarland in Bø (Norway's largest water park), Norsjø Golfpark and Gullbringbadet are short away, and affordable to use. Feel free to ask host if wish to borrow canoe, redn.vester etc.

From Strengen it is also a short way along Flåvatn to Kilen camping with beautiful child-friendly beach, Telemark Sommarland in Bø, Ulefoss main farm, Øvreverk handverkstun, Norsjø Golfpark and much more.
