5-minute walk from the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art | Kanazawa night with a view of the Japanese garden

We reopened in July 2025. This inn is a private Japanese house in the centre of Kanazawa, Ibaraki, limited to one group per day. Originally built by a craftsman who was a shipwright, the house is filled with meticulous craftsmanship, such as intricate wood carvings and transom decorations. There are 4 bedrooms, and the space can accommodate up to 9 people, making it perfect for families and group travel. The Japanese garden, which can be viewed from the veranda, is highly regarded by customers. You can enjoy the seasonal expressions, and it calms your heart with morning coffee and a night's rest. The location is also convenient, with the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art just a 5-minute walk away, and you can also walk to Kenrokuen, Kanazawa Castle, and Katamachi, Kanazawa's best downtown area, so you won't have any trouble with sightseeing, dining, or nightlife. However, this house is an old private house with a long history.Unlike a hotel with the latest facilities, it is a nostalgic and tasteful space. There are some squeaking noises and quirks in the fixtures, but I hope you will feel that this is one of the charms of this inn. Also, the inn is located in a quiet residential area. Please be quiet at night so as not to disturb the neighbors. We hope this inn will be a special place that will remain in your memory of your trip to Kanazawa. We look forward to seeing you.

1 rental house by photographer and architect/Traditional building/"La Fotografia Bianco"

"La Fotografia Bianco" is a 9-minute walk from "Kanazawa Station" and a 6-minute walk from "Omicho Market", where there is a bus to Kanazawa's major tourist attractions. The building faces a quiet street lined with Kanazawa Machiya, and you can see a large temple in Kanazawa, Higashibetsuin. The traditional exterior and floor plan tend to make the rooms dark, so we incorporated a "front garden (Maeniwa)" in addition to the "back garden (Okuniwa)" to bring in more light, and we also used white as the base colour for the interior to highlight the Japanese-style shadows. In addition, "Photos", which is the theme of this inn, is a photo exhibition of Japanese photographer "Kimurakatahiko IG @ kats_portraits".In addition, you can spend a relaxing time indoors while listening to the "music" selected by Mr. Kumi with the photos. The work may change depending on the season. It is also close to the Omi-cho market, and has facilities such as a kitchen and washing machine so that guests can stay for a medium to long period of time. Getting around for a day is one of the pleasures of traveling, but I hope you can enjoy a relaxing stay for a day.
