Appalachian Trail (McAfee Knob), Blue Ridge Highway, Smith Mountain Lake, James River, wineries, breweries, shopping are close by. 18 min to Roanoke College and 40 minutes to Virginia Tech. Very clean non smoking, 65" TV/home theatre, WI-FI , Wood Burning Stove, and outdoor fire pit (wood provided) for your enjoyment. Come and distress yourself at Hope Haven Cottage. Pets: We welcome pets. If you have more than 2 pets, please contact us for approval. There is a pet fee of $50 for the entire stay.

It's now a blend of farmhouse and contemporary. This cottage is also a blend of country and town, with plenty of space to spread out, relax, walk our 3 acres, view mountains, and watch the deer. Need something you might have at home? I bet we've thought of it! You'll be surprised to find how well-equipped Gateway Cottage is.

This property is part of the Sak's House Creek Retreat and can be reserved with the main house which sleeps up to 14 (9 beds).

Wineries, orchards, and hiking nearby. 15min to Town of Bedford and D-Day Memorial. 35min to Roanoke, Lynchburg, and Smith Mtn Lake. Friendly dogs may occasionally visit from my mother’s house next door. (Look for Wind Tides Farm sign).
