It has been gradually renovated and revitalized (currently in the process of revitalization), with whitewashed clay walls, natural Kenji-ji bamboo fences, and more.Originally an old house opened as an almost 100% inbound accommodation.We are conducting a semi open-air bath in the interior of the warehouse and renovation work centered around the water. ■ Soothing moss garden ■ There are three moss gardens: the front garden, the middle garden, and the back garden. Well water flows everywhere, including through the water basin, the ladle, the deer fountain, the stream between the stepping stones, and the pond. The pond is home to koi, goldfish, medaka, tanago, and river shrimp, and is a biotope space visited by wild birds. ■ Chick-in lounge (cafe/bar space), souvenir corner ■ You can drink authentic cocktails on the first floor of the main building.There is a souvenir corner with imported interior goods/accessories/natural stone, etc. from Japan, Bali, and other places.

There is a separate indoor bath from the Hinoki bath, but the view of Setouchi and the starry sky from the Goemon bath, heated with firewood, is the best. If you're lucky, you'll see artificial satellites and meteors. The water heated by firewood never gets cold. It warms you from the core of your body. The bedding is specially ordered from a long-established bedding manufacturer in Kyoto, and the bath invites you to relax your body and mind and sleep soundly. Most guests say they sleep well. During the day, you might want to spend some time in the lounge filled with houseplants. Enjoy the sunlight shining through the trees from the skylight. Here, the right answer is to do nothing and just be. How about emptying your mind? If you request at least a week before your stay, we can prepare local food from Oshima Island and seasonal food that we can get through a special route. If you wish, you can also dine at a counter made of pure cedar, similar to a traditional Japanese restaurant.

For guests staying 2 nights or more, you can also add the "Tsumugi Retreat Plan", which offers a total plan during your stay to feel the spirit of Oshima. The accommodation is a completely independent private space within the house. The entrance, kitchen, bathroom and toilet are also private, so you can maintain your privacy. The host lives on the property, but the guest space is completely separate, so you can feel at ease. For guests staying multiple nights, we can also provide a firewood bath, etc. You can also see the beautiful starry sky on a good weather day. ※ Because it is a natural place, in addition to creatures such as butterflies, bees, fireflies, and beetles, there are also creatures such as boars, snakes, and centipedes. Although we are taking measures, please understand that centipedes and spiders may wander into the room from spring to autumn. Daisenji Shrine, supermarkets, and convenience stores are also about 5 minutes away by car. It is also a good location for walking. The popular marine bath facility, Mare Glacia, is about 8 minutes by car (2.2 km).

You can take the ferry to Okunoshima(rabbit island) from the port. Near-by sightseeing spots: Mt.Kurotaki, Kaguya-hime museum, Preservation district of important historical buildings in Takehara city. Optional dinner is available at cafe area with extra charge. We are sorry but you will hear the noise from the cafe from 8am -11pm.
