Monthly Rentals in Ólafsfjörður

We visited in March 2025 and were privileged to see Aurora every single night of our week's stay, often viewing from the hot tub. Marvelous experience in amazing surroundings.

This was the most wonderful little cottage, I absolutely loved my stay. The view is beautiful and everything is so peaceful. I loved walking through the village and the ferry ride was relaxing and reliable. The cottage feels like home. I am so glad I stayed three nights and could easily have stayed longer. Sitting in the hot tub at night you will get the best star show. I didn’t see aurora during my stay, but I bet that’s incredible. Bjorgvin sent very detailed and helpful directions and everything was easy.

This property exceeded all of our expectations and the photos don’t do it justice. Clean, comfortable and extremely private. We experienced a yellow alert (severe blizzard with very strong winds) so had to stay in the house for an entire day… and it was the perfect place for that! The driveway got completely snowed in, but the caretaker was able to help dig us out and couldn’t have been kinder. We will most certainly stay here again if in the area. Communication was fast, friendly and very thorough.

Very nice house in a peaceful corner, lit up at night. The kitchen was very good and the bedrooms on the same floor as well, the sofa bed was very comfortable Has a washing machine and a very convenient dryer, all the necessary spices and condiments In addition, Margret was ready to change our arrival dates at her place due to bad weather and our uncertainty of arriving on the right day. The only small problem is the room which is in the basement, very humid Other than that we had a great time at Margret's place
