Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Old Trafford

We were really happy with our stay at Andrew’s cottage. It was immaculate inside, well kitted out with everything we needed and had lots of thoughtful touches like the coffee beans, dog bowls and local info. Andy’s instructions were great, check in was simple with a lock box, and he gave us brilliant local recommendations. The position is lovely on the canal, so tranquil but walkable to New Mills for pubs and restaurants. There are some interesting walks nearby too

Gwen and Mark were both always friendly and warm on interaction, particularly on arrival and check in. Both were really helpful when it came to warming the hot tub and quick responses if we had any questions. Thank you for a perfect stay ☺️ Alex and Emma

Lovely apartment, clean, tidy and offered plenty of space for us (2 adults, 1 child and 2 dogs). The property was really warm and cosy even without the heating on. We found it very easily and chose to park in the car park directly outside the property (was about £7 for 48hrs) although had our car been a little smaller we could have easily parked in the space provided. The best bit of this lovely property is the perfect location. It’s right on the doorstep of some fabulous walks, we didn’t need to use the car at all to access some great views. If you like viaducts this is the place for you! The property is equally in perfect distance from the facilities that New Mills offers, with a 2 min walk to supermarket and take aways. Hosts were quick to respond to my en route enquiry with a friendly and helpful reply. We’d happily stay again !

Had a great stay here recently. The place was clean, tidy and above all comfortable. Having the office space and garage was really useful. Hosts are very responsive to any questions. Good food at the pub just down the road too.

Just returned from a lovely stay at this gorgeous cottage. Pots and Pans cottage is really lovely and Clifford is a fantastic host. He really has invited people to stay in a home-from-home - there is everything you could need for a relaxing stay. He has been very generous in leaving plenty of provisions and the interior of the cottage is completely inviting and stylish. The beds were also incredibly comfortable and the black-out blinds and the peaceful location meant that we totally relaxed over the weekend. We lit the woodburner on both evenings with the kindling and logs Cliff had kindly provided. There were fresh tulips in the kitchen and everything was spotless. We had a couple of minor questions (i.e. wifi password) and Cliff was really responsive. We can't recommend the cottage enough. We'll be back.

The cottage is in the midst of beautiful hills with views over the 'edges', so it's easy to get to nice places to walk. The grounds are bordered by an A road and a train line, but we didn't find the noise intrusive. There's a beautiful big lawn that our puppy could play on, a short walk way in the woodlands (about a ten-minute amble), and plenty of clearly marked parking. The cottage is lovely, everything was very clean and comfortable. There are guest accounts to Netflix and Prime for a relaxing evening in. Claire responded to our questions very quickly. we'd love to return.

Wow! an amazing beautiful place. The hosts Jill and Sean were fantastic right from the start. Very helpful, and any questions we had they were very quick to respond. Beautiful home, very clean and everything we needed. The welcome basket was a beautiful treat. The whole experience was wonderful. We felt very spoilt. Highly recommend. We will return, but we want to stay longer next time. Thank you Jill & Sean
