This cute white cottage with a thatched roof is like from a fairy tale book! As if you really live in authentic Giethoorn. (North) The boats can be rented from the neighbors and the beautiful bridges can be found only a 6-minute walk away. This is where Giethoorn originated, and the oldest cottages line the path. Without crowds of tourists. (They’re in Giethoorn Zuid.) Here, you can still find wonderful tranquillity and the beauty of the historic village of Giethoorn. Unfortunately not suitable for infants/children from 0 to 8.

Step inside a piece of history! The Wall Left Lodge, originally built in 1637 by the Muurlink family. In the 19th century, the family expanded with a house and that is now our welcoming B&B. Whether you are coming for a short hiking stopover or a longer stay, you are more than welcome. Weerribben-Wieden, Giethoorn, Blokzijl, the Amsterdam Lake District, and numerous hiking and biking routes (including pilgrim routes) are all within easy reach. Let yourself be enchanted by history, nature and hospitality.

The house is located in the most beautiful spot in the Netherlands, in the middle of the beautiful nature reserve De Weerribben. Located directly on the water, there is every opportunity to rent boats, canoes, bicycles or a sup. The farm is located on the Zuiderzeepad and many bicycle junctions. The spacious apartment has 2 separate bedrooms for a total of 4 people. Optionally, a third bedroom/studio can be booked separately, only in combination with the apartment. 'Ons Stulpje' is a complete, separate appartment with a comfortable kingsize boxspring bed, rain shower and complete kitchen. The jacuzzi can be booked separately (€30 per 2 h timeslot). The (shared) pool can be used in Summer. Chickens roam freely. It is situated in the quiet countryside town Blankenham, close to tourist attractions like Giethoorn, Blokzijl, Steenwijk and National Park Weerribben-Wieden and Pantropica, Urk, and UNESCO Schokland. Breakfast can be added for €15 p.p. per day.

Within cycling and walking distance of the centre of Wolvega rural setting. In this region you can make beautiful hiking/biking/MTB trips to the Weerribben and Giethoorn but also to the Drents Friese Woud, Heerenveen Oranjewoud. Skating in Thialf. Rent a boat and/or go to De Lemmer to the beach. You can do all that easily from Sonnega. We are open to tips.
